Generic problem for all PC Laptops
Memory Upgrade

My laptop crashed but I lost the recovery disks. So instead it was re-installed as follows:
BIOS for 2550 CDT instead of 2550S
Windows ME instead of original Windows 98
However, the on-board memory upgrade stopped working. Is this a BIOS version problem?
