My coby mp3 player, the mpc7085 is broke.
well the power button anyway. And i really need help.
the power button if i try and press it down it wont turn on
and i can only turn it on by charging it.
anything you can do to help??
Pull it apart. carefully lever off the cover from the power switch, and remove the small broken bit of black plastic. (it's that broken bit that is your problem.) BE CAREFULL not to disturb the small round metal contact. now when you poke the small round metal contact you should hear it click as it turns on and off. to be able to do this when you've put the covers back on, drill a small hole in the back cover above where the contact is. Then you can turn on/off the player by poking a paper clip through the hole.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Coby MPC7085 requires a 12 hours charge when used for the first time.
Always use a direct connection to the computer when charging with the USB cable: a hub or cardreader should be self-powered.

1. Turn on Mp3 player, go to settings, make sure USB mode is set to MSC or USB DISK 2. Connect MP3 player to the computer 3. Go to 'Start' button, go to 'My Computer' 4. There should be a drive labeled removable disk, double click this drive. 5. inside this drive there should be a folder labeled EBOOK, drag your .TXT files to this location. 6.
