Camera turning off

My will not turn off. Even when in the off position it is still on, so I have to remove the battery otherwise it keeps draining the battery. when it is turned to off you can still watch the pictures on the lcd screen as if you are taping. it worked fine until one day it just started doing this and we have only used the camera a handful of times.

If you take the battery out and plug it into an electrical outlet, is the camera running normally?

A weird problem has appeared over the past month or so. I power off the camera, and if it is picked up or is moved (sometimes even the slightest movement) and it powers on! What's up with that!?! I have...

The only thing I can think to do would be to turn on the camera and access your settings. Probably check under your power settings or something comparable to it and make sure there is no setting turned on that would allow the camera to turn on with motion.

Camera keeps draining the attached battery when the camera is off

I had the same problem and a tech told me that the camera will continue to draw from the battery if it is connected. There is no fix other than to disconnect the battery when not in use.

Push the reset button

My camera has been doing this too, searched this site not through product but problem and found this solution posted by "margarita" for another camera. Said to try removing/replacing the tape. When I pushed the eject button the tape did not come up, removed the battery for a minute and tried again. This time the tape came up so I removed it and put it back in, it seems to have worked. The reset button is not flashing and it did record and playback when I tried them.
