Question about Zenith Televison & Video
Those were the filtering electrolytic capacitors exploding - the smoke was the electrolyte that was projected out as steam. If the popping has continued until the mains has been pulled then the entire power board has been fried beyond repair. and the damage to the rest of the tv is also extensive.
This is an old tv, with an old CRT technology, it can be repaired, just that it would cost you a fortune - at least $600.
My advice: the tv should be considered as dead. Time for a new one.
