Toshiba SD C2512 DVD ROM but it only reads dvd, (by 2 users)

Did you ever find a solution to the below posts?

Hi

I have an IBM thinkpad T23 with a Toshiba SD C2512 DVD ROM but it only reads dvd, and says my cdrom are not formated:

I.mnot able to find any drivers

Comment by Notrek, posted on Mar 02, 2008 Searched all over the net and reinstalled rom driver which turned out to be the same as original anyway. DVD-r and prerecorded dvds work fine but any kind of cd doesn't seem to read and I get the same error as the other guys here where it says the cd is corrupt etc but definately nothing wrong with disks - all ok in other machines. Despite DVD movies running fine Audio CDs dont play even with windows media player.
System is a second hand IBM Thinkpad T21 with Toshiba SD C2512 DVD Drive. Running Win XP.
