The convergence went on my tv. I tried to reset it but it only moves vertically. There is also a permanent swirl at the top of the tv. What do i need to do to fix it.. Please help. www.luda315@aol.com or call me at 646-416-2762

i switched the ic's and the ohm and now it doesn't go on. I hear like a hearbeat like pattern and then it stops.. What did I do wrong

Luis. You need to replace both the convergence ICs which are STK392-110 and possibly the 1.8 ohm 1 watt resistor you can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free installation instructions with pics so you can do the job yourself which is very easy on your model set.

Solder shorts if it sounds lika a thumping in the speakers. you either have a short between a couple pins or a couple of pins arent connecting thats the only thing that will cause the thumping after changing ICs.
