Question about Beeman Optics

1 Answer

I have a Beeman air rifile that I think is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I has taken down ground hogs at 50 yards. The rifle has a 4-14x56 Accushot scope mounted on it. When the rfile is working fine, I have no problem placing a group of 5, .17raptor pelets within a quarter sized circle at 25 yards. Twards the end of this summer I missed three of the largest ground hogs I'e ever seen in my back yard, within 25 Yards of my rear deck ( Very disappointing). What I have discovered, is that the rifle shoots 5-6" low on the first shot. each subsequent shot is less, and by the 4Th, or 5 Th shot the rifle is dead on How to resolve this problem. I only get one shot at these critters, before they spook. Need to make the first on count !!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately air rifles are hard on scopes due to the recoil...Suggest replacing the scope with something more of a brand model , like Bushnell or something like that..

Are you sure its a bb gun and not a pellet gun? Usually bb guns have a magnet on the bolt, that keep the bbs from falling out. Pellets don't roll so the won't roll out the barrell.

WalMart carries a nice 22 caliber air rifle by Crossman. They also carry the 22 caliber pellets. 1200 fps for this rifle should take care of your varmints.

I'm looking for a factory manual for a Beeman air rifle(sportsman RS2 series)

Contact Beeman via one of the methods available at the following link:

http://www.beeman.com/contactus.htm

and let them know what you're looking for. Most all gun manufacturers will provide a free manual for anything they've manufactured. It's a safety thing.

Take care!
