Hi just back from Florida with Philips PC camera SIC4750/27, and yes you have guessed it the software will not install. Wizard cannot find the disc when i have installed in the drive. If i try to install the disc first as it mentions in user's manual laptop freezes up.
I do disenable my virus software when i attempt the installation.

Start by locating the DVD/CD that came with the camera. This should auto start when inserted into your PC. If you don't have the DVD try checking the Philips web site for the support page for your model of camera. They should have a downloads section where you can get the installation software.
try to install the software before connecting the hardware. This looks to be an USB camera. These types of cameras usually require that the software be installed prior to the hardware being installed.
