Question about Samsung Exclaim M550 Cell Phone

1 Answer

My exclaim is having major messaging problems for like the 5th time. It says there are X amount of slots left for a message, and that ruins all of my texting data. I have cleared web cache and everything, and it continues to happen every 30 seconds. It is veryyy frustrating

I would take it back to my service provider and try to trade it in for one that works. Or you could completely disassemble it, battery and all and leave it sitting on a dry surface for a while and then try to reboot it and see if it works then because it may just be it needs a break. Good Luck.

First i got a error message as "memory unsupported please update dimm1".After that i moved the ram to slot 1 after i restarted another error message showing"battery voltage is low ".what is the exact...

these can be related as the main battery on the motherboard is need to retain cmos setting when a system is unplugged from a/c power for extended periods of time.
so the loss of cmos would prompt you about certain components including amount of memory(pending no changes in memory amount/ slot location as a single chip unit must have the mem in slot 1). there is a round 3.0 volt battery that once reports bad, should be replaced. start there and see if you get any other errors. as there could be a problem with the powersupply or motherboard if that doesn't resolve it.

I'm having a problem receving text messages in my samsung exclaim. But the alert and red light would still flash and make sounds. So how do I fix my text messaging problem?.

I had the same problem. It didn't happen with every text message, but with many of them. At first I would shut my phone off and then turn it back on and I would receive the texts that I had missed. Then I reset my phone "back to default" and that seemed to fix it permanently. To do so, enter the settings menu, go to the "more..." option, go into the security settings... you will need your 4 digit code to get in, if you haven't changed it then it should be the last 4 digits of your phone number. from there go into Erase/Reset, then "default settings. Don't hit "reset phone" or you'll lose all your data (ringers, games etc), This should work if it doesn't, then try hitting the "reset phone" option but beware you will lose your data AND your contacts so back them up somehow. Hope this helps...

The same thing happened to mine a few days ago....I read online how to fix it
Try this..
Go to your settings, then go down to
7.More
12.Security-type in password (should be last 4 digits of your phone number
Then go to 3. Erase/Reset
Erase the first three (Web Cookies, Web History, and Web Cache)

So far, its working for me.
Hope that helps

MY PHONE KEEPS RING ABOUT MESSage slots and i cant recieve text messages

click HOME, then go to SETTINGS, then you go down to MORE, then go to SECURITY, and it will ask for a USER LOCK ( it is the last FOUR digits of your cell phone number like for ex. 555-465-6788. 6788 would be the last for digits if this was somebody's cell phone number. after that click ERASE/RESET, and erase ALL of your Web cache; web history; and web cookies and erase all of your messages if you scroll down.

Error CF

I had the same problem before. If you havent ruined a pin in the bottom of the slot and pray that you didn't it might help to reformat the cf card with your computer..Do you have another cf card or someone you know that you could try in your camera also this will probably tell you if thats the problem..Unfortunately thats one of the problems with the canon cf card is it can be put it the wrong way and cause damage if you push it too hard. My problem was not the pin but I did formate my card completly with NTFS and have had no further trouble..You should know though It is possible to have a card go bad too..SAMS CLUB SELLS THEM FOR 16.00$ for a 1 gig.Karaokekate
