If your dryer runs, but does not heat, here's a helpful link you can use that will assist you in determining the cause.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r630242-dryer_runs_but_not_heat

Sometimes it take more than just unkinking the dryer hose and cleaning the lint trap. If you haven't cleaned the dryer ducting in a while, you may have a clog causing the dryer to overheat. If the dryer overheated, more than likely you have a blown thermal cut-out. The heating element may have also been damaged. Read through the link I provided and let me know if you require further assistance, or have any questions. I hope this helps you.

I have the same dryer and recently ran into the same problem. The timer went out first and caused the dryer to run all night long, (easy fix 53.00) once replaced tried dryer again and no heat, when it ran all night it over heated and burned out the coil, i just ordered one online for 47.30. 2 screws and 2 easy connect wires are that hold it in. you can test with a multimeter or take it out and look for seperation between the coils.

hope this helps

check dryer hose u might have pushed dryer back too far and kinked hose or have a buildup of lint in the dryer vent if not check for continuity thru ur overheat safeties theres usually 2 or 3 of them on the element housing an they r round UNPLUG UNIT AND TAKE THE 2 WIRES OFF 1 switch at a time and chech and make sure u have continuity thru all of them but its probably gonna be in ur dryer vent unhook it from thee back first and try to dry a load if so u have a kink or too much lint in vent

My dryer takes almost 2 hours to dry a normal load of clothes.

You have a clogged vent , or kinked vent hose , or the hose to the outside ( possibly in the wall ) , is clogged with lint . A dryer , either heats , or doesn't heat . The venting , is what causes the excess timing , for the clothes to dry .

Whirlpool dryer model LER4634J...will heat fine for 3 or 4 loads in a row, then may not heat for a couple cycles. then work fine again. when i run it i use the heavy/60 min. cycle. when it drys it works...

possible timer, or electrical issue in wall receptacle.be sure wall venting is perfectly clear w/no hinderance to air movement whatsoever .try removing vent hose off dryer for a couple of loads,to bypass venting completely just for testing. otherwise the safety thermostats or cycling t-stats may be in question

DRYER TAKES LONGER TO DRY

you could have restricted airflow from the lint screen not being cleaned, a bad blower wheel, or a bad thermostat. take the vent hose off the back and check to see if the air flows out the dryer with good force, if so your vent is probably clogged or not open in the wall. the vent hose may also be picned off from puching the dryer back to far.

Dryer wont start

Make sure the air flow from dryer is good thru the vent hose to outside . Make sure the vent hose itself is not kinked . pt # 3392519 is the thermal fuse .

I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL DRYER,MODEL NO. LER5636EZ2. THERE IS NO HEAT. THE DRYER WORKS FINE OTHERWISE. I HAD THE MAIN HEATING ELIMENT TESTED. IT SHOWED TO BE OK. ANY SOLUTIONS? THANK YOU.DOUG.

Hi Doug, Check your vent hose and both ends of it as well (dryer outlet and wall vent). Take the hose outside and clean it out. Reinstall it with as few kinks and bends as possible. If there is debris under or in the lint trap cavity, remove it as well as possible, This should be what you need.
