Question about Cozy (W352E) Heater

1 Answer

Where I do I light the pilot light on my Cozy Wall Heater? I know it needs to be lit somewhere on the bottom of the unit but I cannot find the spot and my heater will not turn on. I am a senior and not very technical but I watch the PG&E service man light it once so I thought I could remember but I simply don't. Any advice?

In front of the burner it is next to a copper tube(black if it has been burned)! it angles a little towards the copper tube! u turn the knob on gas valve to pilot then hold down and light hold for one minute then turn it to the on position (u might have to push down slightly as u turn the knob) make sure u have thermostat to the lowest setting before u light the pilot so it won't turn on while u have your face too close to the heater then turn your thermostat up to desired temperature when it is on the the on position! Good Luck!!

Help! I have a cozy wall heater model W355F-D. I have never ever lit a pilot light in my life and honestly, Im a little nervous. Can you maybe help me and walk me through it?

You should have control knob on the gas valve that has off, pilot and on , turn knob to pilot and hold in you should have igniter button press this in and it will spark at the pilot you may have to press this a few time to get pilot to light . when pilot is alight still hold knob in for 30 seconds then turn to the on position .

Cozy dual wall heater, makes loud noise and shakes heart when it starts

check gas pressure, natural gas 3.5 and propane 11, also if you have stainless steel burners drill out the first series of holes on the carry over tube to match other holes use 1/64 drill bit.

Cozy gas wall heater won't ignite, pilot light is on

There are two types of igniters, spark-type or glow heater. The glow heaters wear out and crack or break and the spark-type spark gap gets fouled or dirty. Both could have electronics problems that drive the glow heater or spark systems. The Filtrete thermostat is not the issue. While rapping the unit makes the glow igniter come back together to glow again.

if you can re-light the unit all parts are good,if the vent pipe is ran thru the side wall and up this is the problem the vent temps on these unit are low which can not over come the cold air and can not start a draw ans backs into the unit and puts out the pilot.

Pilot lights fine, furnace fires up, when it turns off the pilot goes out

need to have at least 3 feet of vent out of the roof, if it is to low the coll air will cold soak down to the pilot and shut it down.

Cozy dual sided wall heater

There isn't much to these things, its either the pilot generator or the gas valve. Or maybe both, try the first, then the second.
