Problem for Lite On Laars Lite 2 Heaters: 250,000BTU MV Heater
Laars Lite 2 - Turns off after 5mins of being on!
I have a 10 month old new Laars pool heater.
Just fired up for summer (off during winter).
Pilot lights, boiler kicks in...then after 5mins everything turns off.
Then have to do it all again!
Thermostat is set properly, just don't know why it all shuts itself down?

- Have the same problem - heater works well, intermittently. Checked (methodically) the following:- pressure switch
- fusible link
- fireman's switch
- on\off switch
- hi-temp limit
- potentiometer (thermostat)
and thought I'd discovered a problem with the on/off switch. Bypassed to no avail - still performing intermittently. Very frustrating. Would recommend anything but Laars!
Would appreciate any help....
