Have plugged the USB into my netbook but the mouse will not work, there is a red light at the back that is on. It says it is working properly but does nothing.

If this is a USB style wireless mouse make sure you have good batteries in the mouse, then there should be a little red button on the bottom of the mouse that says connect, click that and hold it down for about 2 seconds then let go and see if that works.

I had all the same problems listed in fixit and found that all it took was placing all NEW batteries in the mouse.
Press the blue light button on the USB and the little black reset button on the bottom of the mouse at the same time. Worked good from there on.

I have a GE wireless optical mouse that has decided no to work

I had the same problem till I discovered there are two buttons (not just one) you have to push to re-link the mouse and the USB receiver. Plug the little receiver in, push the tiny "connect" circle on the receiver (which is actually a button I guess), then wait for the red light to start blinking. Then press the little link button on the bottom of the mouse.

Laptop wont sense wireless mouse

1. Check to see if there is a Connect Sync Button (small) on the bottom of the Mouse. Probably one one the USB Receiver as well... press both at the same time or within 10 seconds.
2. Or Try a different USB Port.
3. Make sure you see the Laser Mouse Red Light at the bottom... if not check battery positions.

I need to know how to sync the mouse to the usb..????

1. Insert the batteries into the mouse.

2. Plug the USB stick into the port in your computer.

3. Turn the mouse on (switch is on the bottom).

4. To sync the mouse with your computer, press and hold the button on the bottom left-hand side of the mouse. Then, press and hold the button on the USB stick immediately after.

Note: The button on the mouse is very hard to find. Look at the sticker that is on the bottom, and to the left of it is a very tiny button.

5. Once you press the button on the USB stick, the red light will begin blinking. Hold both buttons simultaneously until the red light begins to blink noticeably faster, then let go.

Note: This is hard to do so be patient with yourself if you can't do it on the first try.

Wireless mouse will not work with battery

Check the battery connections to make sure they are making contact and not corroded. Make sure you hit the reset button which is on the bottom of the mouse so it can reestablish contact with the USB stick.

First thing to do is check the device manager. If it shows up there, make sure that there are no icons saying there is a problem.
