How to copy recorded files from hard disk of TV (LG 47LY3DE) to Combo DMR-EZ47V

Having recorded prograns of 'Wild China I wish to move them all to DVD's hopefully with same efficiencies as copying files from my computer hard disk

I have the same question and I know there must be a way.

This is exactly what I'd like to do:

I would like to access the hard disk of the TV with my Mac (or tell me how with a PC) and to copy the recorded TV programs and movies I have there to my computer hard disk, Then I would remove the commercials and copy them on a DVD for storage and safekeeping in archives.

By the way, what is the format of the files recorded by the HDTV (avi, mpeg, dvdx, ?)

    Thank you

From what I've read, you can't. There is no way to copy from the HDD to a DVD, and the HDD in the TV can't be read by windows. Same if you add an external HDD. Thats the only downside I can see to this TV

you can get your computer (pc) to find the hard drive if you install this driver (http://www.fs-driver.org/download.html) but you cannot open any of the files that are on it. you will be asked to format the hardrive which will delete the files on the drive

Remote broke how can i record vcr/dvd player . wnat to record on my vcr?

I assume this combo unit has basic front panel buttons (behind the right-hand door - where the copy button is) - there should be a drive select (VHS or DVD) button stop play record. I strongly advise if you really need a remote for this model, particularly when it comes to menu/setup options, that you search various online and similar stores for one.

The cost will depend where you go and who you deal with - and if the remote is available (you can always ask Panasonic about a remote for a DMR-EZ48V even though your model may be a DMR-EZ47V - they both use the same remote (N20AYB000136 or equivalent number); they can probably tell you how to order one through them, the price, etc.

A universal remote may work, but with limited functions. If the combo unit works in general, you should not have too much trouble obtaining a replacement remote (just keep in mind the model above).

The remote may cost just over $100 but remember, this is only if you want full control of your combo unit.

When I try to record a show. There is no picture on the disc when I'm done. Its just a white noise screen. I finalize the disc too. there is no prompt to tell me to format the disc.

If the disc playes back then the problem is not with the DVD unit. In order to record white noise, the channel selected for record is probably not tuned in. Try recording the same channel on to video tape and see what results you get.

Copying vhs to dvd

The write-protect tab on the cartridge is set to "PROTECT" or the disc is protected witht the "DVD Management" settings.
Some video tapes on the market(including rental videos) are copy-protected to prevent illegal reproductions. Copy-protected video tapes cannot be properly recorded.
You cannot use the copying function when the FUNCTIONS window, the Scheduled Recording List screen, etc. are displayed.
I hope this information can be of some help to you all. Ms Tanya 2/12/08 3:54AM CST.
