Have you loaded sounds for the pads from an internal or external storage device? (Such as CD or Internal Hard Drive, if installed) - each time you turn on the power, the programs are cleared so the pads will not make any noise until you load the sounds you want.

Otherwise, it could be related to your speaker setup?

Provide some details on your system setup and whether you are loading programs etc.

Hi - I thought this solution I read earlier may help you out - it was originally posted for another problem:

You could set the sample to "one shot" in the trim page or in the Program>KG Mix>Zone page.... it is currently set to "as sample"... i like to use the release to let the sample fade out as long as i like... its a lot diffrent from the old poly mono thing but i like it better overall... hope this is helpfull.

First you must configure your PC to read your mpc 100
flush card. Just insert the software CD driver of your mpc
100 flush card, if you have the CD. Otherwise, you must
have a download from the internet for the software driver.

Do i need studio monitors so i can hear the sounds coming out of my mpc 4k?

you need some type of speakers either monitors that connect 1/4 inch cables left and right or you can use some speakers that hook up in the headphone jack but you are going to need an adapter to make the 1/8 inch to a 1/4

How can the MPC 500 play the Samples on the Pads in real time?

You have to go to the sample edit page and move the start point to the beginning of the wave sample. Right now your start point is before the sample actually starts.

Mpc 4000 lcd

Hey, it sounds like the LCD is not receiving any signal from the video output. I would take it somewhere to be opened up for a closer inspection. Again the cause could be something more serious on the internal circuitry. No way of telling till the schemata is tested.

Good luck
