Question about Compaq iPAQ H3970 Pocket PC
I am sorry to hear regarding the problem. This is a common problem on this handset. There are a proper troubleshooting steps that we offer to the customers which are :-
1.Have you tried charging it through USB through your desktop or notebook? There are certain occasions when i have seen cradle or A/C adapter being at fault. If you have not tried, it would be worth to give a shot.
2. If it's a new battery, we recommend charging it for 8 hours ( only for the first time), remove the battery, soft reset and then reinsert the battery.
3. Charge the device for approximately 30 minutes on A/C adapter ( not on the cradle ).
4. Try full hardware reset.
5. Charge the battery for 4 hours ( A/C only ) and then soft reset it after 4 hours.
If these would not help, this would confirm an internal failure. It is highly suggestive of ' blown IC ' on the power board, however sometimes it could be due to firmware failure.
UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO WAY TO RECOVER THE DATA ON THE MACHINE IN THIS CONDITION.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
