Question about Philips Audio Players & Recorders
There is no free manual available for this model receiver, about the only thing I can find is a service manual, which is $10 here:
However there is a simple way to accomplish what you are trying to do. You can't just hook up RCA's directly to the speaker outputs, they do not function the same way speaker wires do. You CAN hook up the headphone output plug to a minijack to RCA cable though and use that.
Here is the cable you need, I think that receiver has a standard minijack headphone plug in, but you may need the minijack to large headphone adapter, which is the second link here. This is the cable:
