Question about Canon i9900 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

I have a canon i9900 ink jet printer that quit printing. The power light does not come on. I bought a new power supply but it still has the same issue. What would be other possible problems. Is there a fuse? I still have lots of ink so would like to get it working.

Please check the Fuse, if the problem persists after replacing fuse. I must be problem on board.

I get three blinking yellow lights and one green light then it repeats on my I9900. I can't print

Are you looking at the blinking lights under the cartridges? I presume you have replaced them with new ones? When ink is low it lets you print with warnings, but when the cartridge is empty it will stop you printing all together to prevent you damaging the machine.

The printhead moves and it sounds loke it is printing but the paper is blank?

A few possibilities:

1. out of ink -- replace the ink-cartridge

2. clogged ink-jets -- run the "print-head-cleaning" utility.

3. messed-up electronics inside the printer -- buy a new printer.

Ink jets do not have waste tanks. First Clear all paper paths check driver settings. If all correct just delete driver and reload. Reboot booth machines remove power cable for ten seconds

Canon i9900 isn't printing photo magenta

Use denatured alcohol to soak the print head. Then use suction to draw the alcohol back thru to the foam ports where the ink cartridges rest. Continue until the alcohol runs clear. Then use water and then repeat with alcohol. Allow to dry and re-install in printer. Use new ink cartridges when re-starting printing.
