Hi
I asked 2 questions and got no answers:-(
I will ask them again and add a third.
I recently got a Dell pentium 4 running at 3 GHz with 2gig Ram and a
250 HD. Will my Cubase VST 5 run on Windows XP?
I have an audiophile 2496 from my old computer that I am considering
transferring to the new one. The Dell has a Soundblaster audigy. Is
that an ok card? ie is Audigy alright for music recording?
I am getting the E-mu proteus X that comes with a soundcard 0404. Which
soundcard should I use? the audiophile, 0404, or the audigy?
Finally can I keep 2 soundcards in the computer and use one for pro
music recording and the audigy for surround sound, computer functions
and TV?
Thanks
Yinka

Yes, the later versions of VST 5.xx will run on XP, I think there may
have been problems with the first couple of releases.
Many people use an Audigy AND an Audiophile 2496 in combination.
The Audigy has the EMU soundfont synth(s) which are nice to have.
The Audiophile has -by far- the better audio recording/playbacik
hardware.
This changes things.
Hmmmmm.... You will be using the Proteus X for synth sounds... and you
can also use it for Pro music recording. Does it have all the inputs
you need?
Looks like it's going to be the Audigy and the 0404.
Yes! I have three audio cards in my system, one of them an Audigy.
