No. This is not the answer I am looking for. I know how o disable the alarm, however my husband opened the hutch (door) while the alarm was set and now the alarm will not disable. I do want the anititheft system to function in order to protect my vehicle from being broken into and/or stolen. I need to have this problem resolved promptly, as I need the vehicle to transport to work.

Let me see! We are not getting anywhere here. When I unlock my vehicle, the anti-theft system remains on (the little red indicator is flickering). When I attempt to turn the car on, the alarm (horn of car) goes on. After a while it stops. I attempt again, it will go off again. The problem is that I cannot disable the anti-theft system in order to drive the car.

Actually, what you recommended did not work either. However I was able to disarm the anti-theft system by myself. And I am already driving the car. Maybe my money should be refunded!

When you say you want to disable it.. this is the stock anti-theft system and you want it to never come on when you lock the vehicle? That will be very difficult to accomplish. Is that what you are trying to do though?

Please let me know why you want to do this, maybe there is a better way to accomplish the same thing.

Let me know, just reply to my answer here and I can help.

Thanks,
Tim

Wait so the alarm is going off and will not stop? Your question simply states "disable antitheft system". Please explain here, so the alarm is going off but the unlock button is not disabling it like it should?

Ah ok I understand... and I'm sorry we didn't "get anywhere" as of yet.. but I had to understand the issue further. The alarm is hard coded into the electrical system on this car. It sounds like you are having electrical issues with the alarm here unfortunately. The only thing you can do is disconnect the battery from the car for at least 20 minutes to allow all electrical systems in the car to reset. This will hopefully reset the brain of the alarm and allow it to function again. If it does work then you will want to get this car looked at right away as the alarm is going to have problems again sooner than later.

If that does not fix the issue then sadly there is no master over-ride or trick to getting that alarm disabled. Something has malfunctioned in the wiring of the car and needs to be serviced, you may have to get it towed to your nearest service center. Hopefully the battery pull and reset will get it going though.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Disable anti theft

Your key has a sensor in it that disables the antitheft device. if you have a new key for it it may not be disabled. Try it while you have the original key on your key ring also and see if it will allow it to start then.

I have a 1999 GMC Suburban. It isn't starting, not even turning over but the lights and radio go on. Could it be the starter?

It could be the antitheft security system failing. Its called passlock. These are known for disabling starters, and GM's are known for this problem. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

I have a 1998 xlt ford explorer and i heard u can disable the theft sensor by grounding wires in the door panel but i cant figure it out ive been putting alota cashinto it for nothing

Why are you wanting to disable the Antitheft System??? I figure it can only be 1 of 2 things...your Antitheft System is malfunctioning and you don't want to do what it takes to repair it properly, or you are trying to steal a truck. In either case, I don't think I can help you.

Engine wont turn over getting starter disabled message

Most likely a security system issue. Make sure the battery is fully charged and you are using an original coded key. Even an original key can sometimes cause this to happen if the key is badly worn.

Have problem with car shutting down and I would like to disable the antitheft system. I need to know where the two yellow wires are located?

they should be right off the ignition switch..cut only with car on and running if doing any cutting/splicing.

info source from the internet....

I'd recommend to Google the situation first.

Most antitheft systems are reset by using the key in the driver's door, and turning to the left and back.

Wanting to disable security system which fuse is it?

From memory I don't think it has one, its on an automatic circuit breaker. Check the handbook, or the fuse cover listing.

my beetle is fairly stubburn....for example: i tried cranking it with the alam going off and after five times the alarm cut itself off, then i started it and drove off. but that clearly is no valet over-ride because the second and third time didnt work. second time i unlocked the hatchh back and the assenger door and started the engine and it worked. third time....well...still trying.!!
