It's 115volt and is a heatpump, these units work best above 40 degrees. They only put out between 95 and 105 degree air. The colder it gets outside, the less heat ya'll are gonna get.

Currently, it's 59F outside, but the heater feels like it's blowing lukewarm air.

  • azeddysac Nov 06, 2010

Your body temp is 98 degrees. If it feels warm to the hand, then it is above 98 degrees and doing all that it can. They put out about half the amount of BTU's in heat than they do cold air.

I agree. It's only luke warm at best. Why did they call it a 'heater' with the unit. It's 26 degree's outside and this insulated 16x12 shed is freezing inside. Unit works great as a airconditioner, but sucks horribly as a heater.

Why won't the compressor won't kick off

sounds to me like you have to change your " room and coil " sensors..they are thermistors that work together to communicate with the pcb and tell the compressor when to turn off. if you can use a multimeter, check the ohmic value(s) they supposed to be between 4k - 10k. with the meter attached warm the thermistors by rubbing them between your fingers and the ohmic values should change.the room sensor can be found on the evaporator coil when you remove the face cover you will see it, the coil sensor will be found on either right or left side of the evaporator inside a piece of tubing. sometimes there is only a room sensor...hope this helps

Heater dont work

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV. If it's with heating element check power to element. If power is there but still no heat means element defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks.

And I reset already the working only fan but no ac and heater.i reset already the plug but still the problem.

If it's logic switch , check your switch control and thermostat switch. If it's remote control check is there any beep sound while pressing col or heat mode.

If you satisfied with above and still not working means it's problem with your compressor, may be winding open.

I have LG 'Intello air' 1.5 ton window ac. I want to know if it can be changed into a heater by fitting a reversing valve. If so, will LG service people do it? How muchwill be the cost? Will it harm...

You can't change the a/c model fr' cool to heat & cool model. It's my sincere advise go with new heat and cool a/c. Normally Window a/c coming with heater coil.

A/c unit is not blowing cool air. I took it apart and cleaned all the coils, but it still is not cool. There is also a sound like something is trying to kick on but it just kicks right back off.

sounds like the compressor is having trouble starting. this could be the start components or the compressor itself. if the fan is running when you hear the "kicking in" noise it is you compressor, they are generally PSC motors, that require a capacitor to start, the capacitor could be bad, or the compressor may need a start kit added to it, they are available to the public at most appliance parts houses, you will need the model and serial number of the unit to select the proper one.
