2005 Mustang GT radio defaults

You are loosing power to the keep alive memory circuit of the radio. I think you may have a defective ignition starter switch. Also there are two hot wires to the radio, one powers the radio, one holds memory and is called the Keep Alive Memory constant power wire. Here is the wiring colors, pull the radio and check the memory power supply wire.

Which color is the memory wire im tired of resetting time and audio configurations plz help

basically you have a power wire which should be wired to a switched connection and a memory wire which should be wired to a unswiched connection. look on your fuse box under the dash and connect the power wire first to a switched fuse (one that shuts off the radio when you turn off key) then look for a fuse (with same power wire )that when you turn off the key the radio stays on, this is the fuse that you connect the memory to,or you can connect the memory wire directly to the battery but you must use an inline fuse or you burn up your radio, car etc.

Do the jvs have a memory wire. I tryin to put this in a 2001 nissan altima. I need to know if the car have a memory wire for this redio.

You need to hook up the yellow wire from JVC to the yellow/green wire in car(12+ constant memory) and the red wire from JVC to purple from car(switched 12+ volt accessory)

Hope this gets you tuned in!

Radio problem... need a memory set to the radio

Use a 12 volt DC test light, or a DC voltmeter & probe until you find one wire/terminal that has power constantly, whether key is on or off. That's the one to join it to, for your memory. Your radio power wire will go to the other unless you want to be able to have your radio working all the time when you turn it on, regardless of whether key is on,or accessory position, and if that's your preference, join it to same.
