Could be a board but it is common for the diodes to overheat and burn out. These welders are only 20% duty cycle. If you do lots of continuous welding it will overheat. If you open the cover and follow the main lead you'll see the two large diodes . See if there are any burnt wires or melted insulation. You can order the diodes from hobart or from your local welding supply. You can test the diodes with an ohm meter. They should conduct in one direction, but not the other. Let us know what you find out!

Wire feed welder will turn on but not arce

Check internal connections, Check to see if CR3- a heavy 24 volt contactor- closes. And check for continuity of secondary winding of transformer which connect to the rectifiers. The rectifiers are likely dead, or contactor has failed- either the coil winding or the contacts.

Bypassing therectifiers will allow machine to work as an AC weldert, but your results may be unpredictable.

Also check for continuity between pins 1 and 4 on heat selector switch (primary windings in series, you should see some resistance, but not a great deal).

Hobart handler 135 is not working

Check the 24 volt contactor terminals, the contactor may need replacement.

You need to determine if power from the control board is reaching the feed motor. If it is not- the SCR's on the control board have probably failed. They are an easy replacement, but it is a stinky process as Miller varnished the boards. It is going to be a pulsed waveform so an analog meter will work best, set on AC and slowly lower voltages on the knob starting from 250 VAC and going lower until a response is noted as needle deflection, the needle will jump off zero if there is power.

Yes, you need a tstat, a contactor, and a transformer.
Contactor runs the fan, transformer sends the low voltage to the tstat. Tstat turns on contactor for fan and compressor for cooling

My A/C turned off. Still blowing air around. Hot air. Outside the A/C itself is not on. Any ideas???

if you open the bottom panel of your furnace you will find the controll board there will be 4 wires coming back from the thermostat and 2 going to the a/c the 24 volt hot wire for the a/c will be hook to the yellow wire coming back from the thermostat take them off the board and wire nut them together this will do the trick in many cases

I think you need to slow down and start fresh.
1) You have 115v at Transformer-You are reading from Red to White
on windings?

2) If that checked out OK are you reading 24v out of Transformer?
3) If yes, remove thermostat wires and put a jumper wire between
R and G. Put the Blower Door Back ON and turn on power
hopefully your fan will come on.

4) If the fan comes on, move the jumper between R and Y, put the
blower door back on and turn on power, indoor fan should come
on as well as the outdoor unit. If the happens you have a problem
with the low voltage wire being broke or a defective thermostat.

5) If none of the above happens and you do not have 24v Between
R and Y or R and G, but you have 24v on the secondary side
of the transformer, you have a defective control board.

Air Handler: I have two 24V supply lines one from the transformer the other, I think from the condenser fan. Both wires are connected to a relay which operates the indoor blower. When the 240V power supply...

you have 24 volts from the indoor thermo to the transformer in the air handler then 24volts from air handler to the contactor when this is energized it goes to 240 volts to run the compressor and outdoor fan. Sounds like the contactor is not enegizing check the voltage at the contactor. you should have a schematic to show you the voltage.

3amp fuse is blowing.

Disconnect the yellow wire from the thermostat and tape off the end. Turn the power back on. If the fuse blows, it is not in your wire nor the compressor contactor. If the fuse does not blow, turn off the power, reconnect the wire, and replace the fuse. Then, disconnect the wire from the compressor contactor and tape it off. Turn the power back on. If the fuse blows, it will eliminate the compressor contactor coil and will likely be a "short" in the wire itself. The yellow wire goes from your T-stat to your air handler and from your air handler, it goes to the oudoor unit's compressor contactor.
