Question about Kenmore 64882 Electric Dryer
Chances are you have a bad motor control fuse has gone bad. This is located in the back of the dryer. Standing from behind it, take the back off and once that is done look to your lower left side and you'll see a white piece a plastic thats long and thin and has wires going to it,. On some models this may be located in the front bottom of the machine, but only in models where the front is not all one piece, but has two sections. When you located this fuse, take a ohm meter and check for continuity. If you have none the fuse is bad. Another way to check this is by unplugging the wires and connecting them together (with the machine unplugged of course) then plug the machine in, and press start. If the machine starts the fuse was bad. Before any of this be sure to check the breaker by cycling it. Just because it doesn't look tripped doesnt mean it isn't.
