This definitely indicates major hardware malfunction in the control module of the device. Basically the "brain" of the unit.

What is the make and model of your machine... your question indicates iFit but the category you chose is the NordicTrack 1750...

Please confirm for me, what make / model device do you have there? I can definitely help you out but just need to know more.

Also have you tried simply turning it off, unplugging it from the power source for at least 5 minutes, then replugging it in?

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

I would first try resetting the treadmill by unplugging it for 30 minutes and trying it again. It sounds like a software issue and unfortunately, the firmware isn't public so please call 800-999-3756 (6 A.M to 6 P.M. MDT) or email service@iconfitness.com during the week and a service technician will be able to further help you. Let me know if you need anything else.

When turning on the projector it shows the Optoma logo but will not boot to the home screen. Is there a way to reload the home screen software?

Depends on the model. If you saw a little fan, then there is a fan problem. There might be 3 fans. 2 square ones and one blower fan. Look for plugs with 3 wires(red/white/black or red/yellow/black). Those will lead to the fans from the mainboard. Occasionally the fan will spin but the tachometer lead will stop reporting the fan status and the projector shuts down. To being with I would clean out the projector fans and ducts thoroughly. That may clear up the issue. Otherwise there is a button press sequence to enable the service menu, but you cannot upload new firmware without special optoma software that isnt available. Another possibility is you have failing filter capacitors in the power supply. Be careful poking around under the hood. There is lethal high voltage possibly stored even when unplugged.

Desktop background doesn't show

I get this too. (Love using the solid blue background)

1. Check if there are any other users logged in on the Mac.
2. Log off all the users including yourself
3. Log in only on your user account and change the background

If that doesn't work, restart first and repeat.

If even that doesn't work, change to another solid background first and then change it back to the picture.

Compaq Presario pops up a system boot menu everytime at startup.

This comes up mostly when it requires a BIOS save. Try that. If that does not help, sometimes setting the default settings and saving will help.

Logon Change

Enable Log-On Screen

Windows, by default, is set to show the Welcome screen during startup.

To enable the log-on screen to show, go to "Start" menu and select "Control Panel".

In the control panel, click on "User Accounts".

In the "User Accounts" dialog-box, click "Change the way users log on or off" and uncheck the "Welcome Screen" option.

Click "Apply Options" to save the changes.

Change Log-On Screen Background Color

To change the log-on screen background color, go to the "Start" menu and click on "Run".

In the run dialog-box, type "mspaint" as the name of the program to "Open".

Click on "OK". In the "Paint" window that opens, select "Colors" from the main menu and click on "Edit Colors". In the "Edit Colors" dialog-box, select "Define custom colors".

Here pick the color of your choice and note down the "Red", "Green" and "Blue" values.

Write down these values somewhere.

Click "Cancel" and close the paint window without saving. Now, go to the "Start" menu, click "Run" and enter "regedit" as the name of the program to "Open".

In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\COLORS and double-click the "Background" string.

In the "Edit String" dialog-box that opens up, change the values in the "Value data" field to the red, green and blue color values that you wrote down (e.g. 75 78 173).

The default value will be 0 78 152. Enter the values in the correct red-green-blue order, separated by a space. Close the registry editor and log off to see the changes.

Put Image in Log-On Screen Background
To put your favorite picture in the background of the log-on screen, click "Start", then "Run", and type in "regedit". In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP and double-click the string "Wallpaper". In the "Edit String" dialog-box that opens up, enter the full path and filename of the image that you want to use as the background. The image must be in .bmp format. Click "OK" and close the registry editor. Log off to see the changes. hope this helps

Nothing shows up on screen just have a blue screen

Hello
If the set do not show its logo on the sereen along with the blue screen, the system control section should be suspected. Here according to you, I understands that there is no logo on screen. If system control section is fully operational, the Logo eill be there. If there is logo of the set, on a blue background, the tuner to it to be suspected.
Just check whether the set gets Menu options on its screen with its remote control. If this also is absent, make sure the fault is with its main system IC itself.
The work is a very skilled one, and one who haven't knoledge about digital electronics, and working of this section cannot do anything. Just contact an expereinced service technician, or get it repaired by the authorised service center.

My 2nd gen nano screen is gray except for the bar at the top that shows battery life and menu titles

Hi, this seems to be a screen failure, just to make sure, do you still see the gray area when you reboot your iPod? in other words, can you see the gray apple over the black background when you first turn it on?
You can reboot your iPod by holding the menu and the select button (the one you use to pick a song).
If you can't see the Apple logo, then your screen appears to be broken, you're gonna have to take it to a technician. If by the other hand your iPod does show the logo, you really should try and restore it; this will erase all the songs and configurations but should restore your iPod to a working state, to do this just connect your iPod and while on iTunes, press the button that says "Restore".

Starting problem

Immediately after seeing the Dell logo, keep tapping the 'F8' key,
until you see a "menu" (white text over a black background)
giving "startup" options for Windows XP.

Select "Safe Mode" and see if you can start in that mode.
Then, use "System Restore" to go "back" in time, to the most-recent checkpoint (date/time) where your computer _DID_ work.

Restore to that point, and restart.

You just need to reset it, hold down the center button and the menu button for about 7-10 seconds or until you see the apple logo.

Hi there
Firstly reinstall the graphics drivers, if its still the same there is a problem with the graphics card and you'll have to have it looked at.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!

Outside display screen will not show anything but the motorolla logo

Does anything show on the external display if you go to take a picture, but before you acually take it, close the phone and look on the external display as if you were taking a self-portrait?
To make fully sure, while the phone is closed, press a volume button - does anything show on the display? If so, the external display functions and it would be a setting that may have been overlooked.
Go to Menu > Settings > Initial Setup > Display Timeout
or:
Menu > Settings > Personalise > Home Screen
