Question about ASUS Eee 2G Surf Notebook

1 Answer

My screen is flashing, It's similar to how my old laptop would flash, when it was plugged in and had a short in the cord. But my Asus is flashing weather it's plugged in or not. There are vertical lines on the left and horizontal lines on the right, do I have a virus? This happens even if I am not connected to the internet, please help!

Not charging

I assume you mean the Battery? What on the screen is flashing? Has there been ANY damage to the AC jack due to pulling on the cord while plugged in? Have you tried another Cord/Charger with the EXACT same power specs? Does the battery need replacing?

G73J Asus battery flashing

The battery is bad. It only has a useful life and after that, it will not take a charge and has to be replaced. If the laptop still functions with the power cord, then the battery is dead and not charging when you see it flashing.

Unplug the computer and take out the battery.
Hold the power button for ten seconds.
Leave the battery out and plug in the power cord.
Press the power button.
If the computer turns on, put the battery and everything should now work.
This has solved every "laptop not turning on problem" for me and my friends.
