Question about Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer

Open Question

We have a front load Maytag dryer, model number MED5740TQ (very basic model). My wife pulled the timer dial out to start the dryer and the dial came off. We've tried putting the dial back on and the same thing happens every time. We are, howeer, able to turn the dial to change settings, time, ect... I tried pulling the metal arm (which is underneath the timer dial) out with a pair of pliers, however the arm won't budge. I'm not sure whether to glue the knob back on - or if the arm is somehow stuck. Any advice? Rgs, Greg M. (gregm13@yahoo.com)

SOURCE: Flashing "touchup" and dryer won't start

What I did was unplug it for 1 min., plug it back in. Push the "off" button once, then push the off button again and hold it for 10 seconds. This is supposed to reset the computer. It worked for me.

Maytag Dryer model number PYE2300AYW will not start.

check your fuses in the dryer their is only one fuse that could shut down the whole dryer like that. Open back panel and get a volt meter and check for continuity on the fuses. HOW? first un plug it then open back then you will see the heating element their are 2 fuses on the heating element take off wires and check those. Then if those are ok look down thier is another fuses its long white with 2 wires comming out of it with a black center that should be your problem check it repair it run it . GOOD LUCK

New dryers comes apart from in the front. There should be two phillips head screw, or star bit screw. You will a loud noise coming from the motor and that when you know. To get a new mortor take the model number and the motor to the local dealer and they should be able to help then.

Maytag Bravos Dryer (1 mo. old) timer does not change from start

Maytag Bravos 400 Series Dryer purchased August 2009 - November 2009 required repair as I also experience the timer readjusting itself to excessive extended drying time when clothing was bone dry and hot. Sometimes extended to 1 hour 40 minutes! Serviceman stated problem was the Sensors in the dryer. Part number 8577274 Thermister and "Old Ohmed out open" whatever that means as listed on my repair ticket. Have not had that particular problem since. Make sure your dryer vents from dryer to outside are clean and clear of lint. Will help immensely. I have many other issues with this dryer it has been down FOUR times in 9 months. Fighting with Maytag to replace this lemon!

I have a maytag top load washer model number MAV7757AWQ. It will not spin out ( water just sits ), until I manually move the timer to the spin cycle and restart. Is my timer bad ?

based on your description..the motor for the timer sounds like it is bad or one of the wires powering it came free of the motor terminal.. Does the dial spin after you start any wash setting? If not then I'd say your timer needs replacing.. Hope that helps

I have a Maytag Atlantis Gas Dryer that will turn on, rotate, but will not get hot and dry the clothes. A load of clothes in the afternoon, didn’t dry, tried again but didn’t dry – went to bed after putting on auto dry - next morning the dryer was still rotating and didn’t turn off. No hot air – only cold air.

Removing Timer Knob on Maytag MDE7400AYW dryer

Can anyone help me? I have a Maytag Atlantis that my parents just gave me and my wife. Unfortunately, they accidently removed the model number sticker in the door area. I need to buy a new timer but no one can find which timer to get without the model number. Via the internet, I think I narrowed it down to either the MDE7400AYQ or the MDE7400AYW....but they both look identical to me. Can anyone tell me what the difference between the two is so I can go get the part?
