The ISP provider changed our IP address when we reset the modem.(even though they swear it was a fixed IP) The mailguard delivery address is fixed so the redirected mail from mailgaurd no longer had a valid address for delivery.
You can fix this by correcting the mailguard delivery IP address (phone them in business hours) or by providing Mailguard with a name address instead of an IP address .

Simple but frustrating until you think of checking to see if the IP addresses of your server and mailguard match

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Keep getting annoying pop-ups when I access my yahoo email http://ca.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch How do I get rid of them ? Thanks, Nico

Which browser are you using? I suggest switching to Chrome and using the Ad-block extension. Or switching to Firefox and using its Ad-block extension. Internet explorer has popup blocking and ad blocking capabilities however the other browsers listed are far superior.

Hi cant download my E-mails,I click on download and it goes thro the routine and then nothing happens,i have installed adobe reader 9

Adobe Reader has nothing to do with it. Most likely ur inbound POP3 setting is wrong. You will need to get with your ISP to find out if your firewall may be blocking the listening port and to walk u through the inbound outbound settings for your email account. For comcast users your mail settings would look like this in Outlook:
mail.comcast.net
smtp.comcast.net
set as a POP3 or "post office protocal version 3"

How can i know who is blocking me??? please i n...

If you are talking about Facebook or another social networking site there are a couple ways you can find out. The first way is to ask one of your friends if they can see the profile of the person you think is blocking you. If your friend can see them and you can't, most likely they are blocking you. The other way is to make another account for yourself using a different name and email address. Then search for that person using your new account. If you can see their profile with your new account then they are blocking you. I hope this helps :)

Firewall is blocking incoming emails

Do you have an email server in place? If so, you need to setup port 25 for inbound access to the IP address of the email server. I would suggest that you don't allow all as that will open up everything and kind of negates the reason to have a firewall. Some ISPs block port 25 though and use port 587.

If you don't have an email server then the problem might be with your email client configuration.

Call your internet service provider (ISP) and they should be able to fix your problem. If this is not your problem let me know what version of windows and how you connect to the internet. Larry

Router not blocking specified site.

There are a couple ways you can do this.
  1. Check the obvious and make sure that if you are blocking by DNS name that you have included wild cards to handle any virtual hosts running on that domain and that you are blocking all ports that could potentially generate the content, not just port 80.
  2. Make sure that you do not have spy ware locally on the LAN PC's that is connecting you to the site or broadcasting content. If you are initiating contact with the server from internal PC's then your inbound policies won't matter.
  3. If all else fails and you can trace the site to an IP, you can always block the IP on your router directly for all ports, set the etc/hosts file on each machine in your organization to redirect that IP to localhost, or set your DNS server to redirect that name/ip to a fake IP internally.

You've verified your firewall configuration settings in TM 2008? Make sure it's not blocking your outbound traffic to. Easiest thing to do is probably disable the TM services, reboot, and test e-mail. If it goes out with no problem then reable TM services and configure to allow SMTP traffic outbound or disable the Firewall feature all together.

I've had a lot of pesky encounters with TM IS 2008 where the firewall feature causes all sorts of head aches. It doesn't realize that we're only worried about inbound traffic...not outbound. Actually, all the Internet Security products out there are like this.

Hope this helps.
