OMG. If it is a rear projection LCD then you have a bad light engine. Any good repair shop will repair for $200-250. If its an older 3 tube projection then you have contaminated coolant in one or 2 of the picture tubes. Just drain out the fluid and replace with new. Should be able to do in 15 minutes. total cost $45.
hitachi model 51f510 projection tv has horizontal lines & has greenish tint,do i need to chang the bulbs??i alredy tryd the magic focus button & manual focus,but unsuccesfl,any ideas????
cleaning the CRT lenses and mirror will help, however with that model I would suspect that the gree and blue CRT needs the coolanr changed to get a your color and clarity back. thats a common problem with all phillips rear projection TVs
Hi, bad news guys, from your brief description you have a bad light engine, you both need to have a tech verify this but thats most likely what is causing your symptom. This is NOT a layperson repair, you`ll need a tech, BMW Rider
I have been advised that the color/light engine of the TV fails often and will typically create a green tint on this unit. I have one on order to get a replacement installed. BTW, it is not "user serviceable" and (for me) will require moving the TV to the repair shop for the change-out.
