Question about Pass & Seymour #690WGCC6 15A White 2SP UL Switches

1 Answer

I dont know if this went anywhere the first time or if I have to pay to get an answer, but I tried to replace the 2 toggle switch below with a switch which had a single toggle switch above a receptacle below it. The top switch was hooked up to an outside light. When I tried to hook it up, the light was on when the switch was in the "off" position, and when I switched it to the "on" position, I blew a fuse. What did I do wrong? Please tell me how to get this info. Thank you!!

It sounds like the outside light may have been wired differently from what you may have thought.

You may need Sparkie to come and comb it through for you. You did not mention what happened to the other switched curcuit that you eliminated.

Lights wire in one of several ways, and the most common run power to the light and then on to the switch. in this configuration, the white neutral wire should be taped black, as it carries hot power during use. This wiring configuration may not allow you to have a power plug as you describe, as there may not be full time power in the switch box.

the other most common is power comes to the switch and then on to the light. this is much less commonly used.

You have a 2-toggle over-under switch now. And you want to change that device to a over-under switch-plug. As Doc was saying, this will not work if your box has just one cable entering the box. You need at least 2 cables in the box, and one of those cables has to have a white Neutral wire, to make a successful changeover. Your new switch-plug has different colored screws. Connect your hot-from-breaker to the dark colored screw located on one side of device. On the other side of the device you have a silver and a brass screw. Connect the wire going to Load (light) to the brass colored screw. That completes the switch. Now there is a silver screw. This is why you need 2 cables in the box, one with a Neutral, as Doc was saying. Located in the back of the box are white wires that are twisted together and covered with a wire nut. Connect additional wire to these white wires and then connect to the silver screw. If you do not have a white Neutral wire, then you need to call an electrician as Doc mentioned. Feel free to add a comment describing exactly how many wires you have and what color screws your device has. The more information available, the better our answer.

Error:91:01 how do you get rid of it?

Hi,
Follow the procedures given below to have a perfect fix for your problem.
  • Press Menu button.

  • Toggle across from REC Mode to setup

  • Toggle down thrice from camera to setup 1

  • Toggle across into sub menu

  • Toggle down from four times to Initialize

  • Toggle across again to the sub-menu

  • Toggle up from cancel to OK

  • Press center button to accept the OK choice

  • Screen changes and so press okay again

  • It should restart the camera

  • Opening on the 'Clock Set' screen

Toggle down to cancel and use the camera and make sure that you have the camera to flash, if it works try again in the Auto function. If it is still not working dont worry follow the steps again two or three more times, As this is related to a software error message and not a hardware malfunction. If it is working then don't forget to set your Clock.

It keeps shutting off. Anywhere from 2 or 3 times

Could be several things. First replace lamp.Remove lamp door and put it back on making sure tab on door presses door switch downward when closed. Can you heard spinning noise from front. Bad color wheel will cause shutdown. Look at big cap on ballast . iff swollen replace lamp, ballast and power board. Is voltage to ballast from power board below 350 volts if so replace power board. hope this helps. Most common are lamp and door switch in up position rather than downward .

I can't find a valet switch for my python 460hp?

you can find the "brain" by tracing the wire from the LED blinking light to the brain than look for a grey and black wire which is the valet switch. Don't look for a toggle switch either, your looking for a little black button not a silver toggle but a little black button. Depending what vehicle you have also matters, for instance if you have a GM truck look in the side dash fuse panel or look BEHIND the hood latch handle. It's a ***** to find sometime but essential that you know both where it is and what it does and how it works.

Locked memory card...

hi crazytami,

the memory card on your camera is SD. on the side of the card you should be able to see a whitwe toggle switch, try to put it to the left, then try it again on the camera, if not, then try the switch on the right then try it on the camera.

one of them should unlock the memory card. if not, please let me know.

regards,

How do I watch videos in drive in 1996 cadillac deville

Nice car. I have a 96 Deville also and i'm installing the same radio in it in about 2 days. there are two options to bypassing the video lockout:you can either buy the PAC TR-7 bypass cable which costs around 20 bucks on sonicelectronix.com or you can wire the parking break wire to a toggle switch and ground a wire from the neg end of the toggle switch. The PAC controller is way more convenient because you dont have to flip the toggle switch 3 times everytime you get in the car.I hope this helped

Ipod gen3 nano

First thing to try is a reset

To reset your iPod:
  • 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  • 2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step

Sony Ericsson Z525A-COPY PHONE NUMBERS TO SIM CARD -BLANK SCREEN

to retrieve your numbers you would need to follow these key strokes...

center, toggle down (1 time), center, toggle up (2 times), center, toggle down (5 times), center, toggle down (5 times), center (3 times)

then wait for quite some time...it takes a while to copy all of the contacts...I would say anywhere from 5 to 10 mins...

this should work to save your contacts.

To save your pictures (and any other data you might want to retrieve) you could buy Sony's data cable2.gif for the z525a. I haven't tried this but it should work since that is what the cable is for.

Its called a DCU-60 USB data cable, and is listed as being compatible with the z525a.
