SOURCE: Porta Band saw blade jumps off

I had this problem on a used model 725 that I bought. Apparently the rubber tires on the drive wheels develop a bit of a memory after sitting for a while with tension on the blade. I tried cleaning the tires to no avail. Then I removed both tires, flipped them over and re-installed. Still not fixed. Then I put only one back to the original position and the problem was solved. Other than the frustration of trying several times, I was out nothing and I got quite proficient at taking the blade in and out. The saw has worked fine ever since. I hope this simple (and free) solution works for you.

SOURCE: Band Saw Blade won't stay on

A lot of the larger band saws, and I don't know about your particular model, has an ajustment on the bottom wheel that tilts the wheel in order to track the blade. It is right at the axle and tilts it from there.  If the back guide is a roller bearing I woud think you would want to roll all of the time.  If a solid bearing block natually a small space where it  will not hit is enough.

How to replace blade for central machinery Model t-1582

This saw has been discontinued by Harbor Freight. However, you may able to ask from them a manual by sending them an email. Try to check this manual. Hope that helps.

Blade too far forward on upper pulley

On Hobart's website ( I found a manual and parts breakdown of your meat saw. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment knob like on most band saws to adjust the tracking of the blade on the wheels. If you go there select the Service & Parts tab, then the Manuals & Support tab. Half way down the page select "View or download operator manuals" then look for the "Click here to go directly to the Resource Center" link. Two more pages and you'll find a model number search box. 6614 will give you the parts breakdown and manual but neither indicate a way to adjust the wheels. Most likely you have a damaged bearing or wheel shaft that's causing one or both wheels to be out of alignment enough to make the blade track as you say it does. Their website also has a "Contact Us / Dearler Directory" link where you may be able to get more assistance on how to fix your saw.
