You can't add the 02 on the end of an IP address so go back into the Linksys wireless router set up and take the 02 off. Are you trying to get a laptop to work? What are you trying to do I need a little more information.

Hi there,\r\nWe have a Linksys WPS54G print server and I'm trying to re-connect it to the new Veridon Fios router. The print server has a default ip address of IP Address:169.254.53.156 but the new router...

The problem is that your printer can't obtain an IP address from your router so it is kicking back the IP address 169.x.x.x which indicates it can't reach the router. You need to go into the IP address configuration on your printer and set a static IP address on the same subnet as the router. For example your router's IP is 192.168.1.1 so set your printer's IP address to 192.168.1.5 and set the default gateway on the printer to the router's IP address (192.168.1.1) next you need to enter in the DNS Server address which is also the router's IP address (192.168.1.1). Once you do that you will be on the same network as your router. From there you can add the printer on your computer through devices and printers if its a Windows pc. Cheers! J the Guru

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP if you want to get ip from router.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.
Then check

Let me know if you need further assistance.

I'm trying to configure add my dell dimension 3000 to a netgear wireless router via a linksys devise. This would be adding a 2nd computer to the wireless router. I know the password. I'm getting a error...

Do You have an association button on Your router? If so, the firstly press the button and then try to connect. If not, You must enter IP address of Your computer, like 192.168.0.5 Subnet mask, like 255.255.255.0 IP address of router, like 192.168.0.1 Then, most important - default gateway. If You have another computer connected at the same router, run cmd, then ipconfig in the black MS DOS window that appears after cdm command. Here You can see all parameters of Your TCP/IP configuration. Take a note of the default gateway and put it to TCP/IP settings of Your Linksys device. If it not help, drop me a message.

how about to reset your router and setup it the proper address by your internet provider..
laptops only connect to the router automatically if you enable it reconnect and detect its network without manually connect internet, this procedure can see in your wireless properties by enabling it.
And also ask your internet provider if theres a problem also with their internet connection.
Good luck!

Wireless network broken, access to WRT54G & Motorola 2210-02 via http.. denied

I have att yahoo dsl which I installed about a year ago. The process required bridging the ADSL Modem (in my case a speedstream 4100) and accepting dynamic IP addresses and configuring PPPoE on the WAN side of my Linksys router. The ATT support person walked me through the entire process over the phone even though I was comfortable with making the Linksys configuration changes as I had to do the same in China without technical support. The modem configuration was no more difficult than the router configuration as it was performed from a web browser too. The biggest warning was that to reverse the modem change (if desired) required use of a reset button because the web interface was disabled as a result of the configuration change. My advice to you especially if you are willing to attach the Linksys router to the telco modem is to contact the ATT highspeed DSL support line and see if they will walk you through it like they walked me through it. Reviewing your Linksys User's Guide and understanding the configuration of that device would probably be appreciated by the ATT Support person as well as assuring you can access the Linksys router to configure it during the call.
