Question about Polaroid FLM-3732 Television

1 Answer

I have a Polaroid FLM-373B 37 " tv and I get a blue screen with "No Signal" in the top corner. Cant seem to get it to find a cable signal, dvd signal or anything. I have successfully replace the blown capacitors and that got me from black screen nothing to blue screen with the aformentioned message. Any ideas please?

NEW ISSUES: - OK so I made necessary repairs and got signal and multiple channels on my cable service. recently middle channels (9 - 60) went "NO SIGNAL" blue screen. Channels on either end of those numbers worked fine. Occasionally the missing middle channels would pulse in and out, but eventually the signal would be lost. NEXT - I just replace the tuner with a new one and actually lost a few more channels. I presume it is one of the circuit boards now??? Any suggestions please---ANYBODY

That situation clearly indicates that no signal is coming to the set in its present setting. Have you checked to make sure that the tv's input is set on the right input setting. Mine always defaults to "Antenna" which drives me nuts cause I get that big blue screen with "no signal". It seems to do that at the slightest provocation, too. After 5 years, I still have to think twice before checking it. If that is not it, make sure that the cables are plugged in. If that doesn't fix it try another type of input such as HDMI or S video, composite, etc - one that you are not using. Don't forget to switch the input to it. Good luck!

Thanks for your comment JW. I have fixed the capacitors and other various issues and the set is (WAS) working fine. Recently several of the middle channels (13 - 60) would pulse in and out, and eventually got to blue screen "NO SIGNAL." I purchase another tuner and installed it today and actually lost MORE channels, so I put the old tuner back in. Now I have good signal on channel 2 - 13 and 61 to the top end channels, but the middle ones are either pulsing in and out or produce blue screen no signal. Any suggestions???? ANYBODY???
