Install gray disc 1, shut down, press and hold C to boot from disc, select install in English or whatever language you speak, go to the top and select utilities, select disc utility, select your hard drive on the left side of the screen select repair disc permissions, and let the laptop do it's thing. Then select repair disc and let the laptop do it's thing. Now quit, and restart from hard drive. See if that don't help you any old chap.

How to delete pictures from your used iPod touch

The iPod touch has a camera that can take pictures and record videos. When you make a video or a photo, the item goes to pictures stored on your iPod app for later viewing or sharing. If you use an iPod Touch, you can take photos on your iPod Touch from the previous owner. These images take up space in memory of the iPod, so you may want to remove them to make room for your own photos and video.

1. Tap on the "Photos" icon on the home page of your iPod touch and tap "Camera Roll" in "Albums".

2. Touch the square icon with an arrow to the right, at the top right of the "Camera Roll" page. Tap each photo or video that you want to delete. Each item, then select a red circle with a white tick.

3. Touch the red "Delete" button at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Delete Selected Items" to confirm the selected items to delete.
My computer will sometimes get stuck on MicrosoftUpdates-show

Updates immediately take over if you boot in safe mode?

Try turning the machine off in the middle by just hitting the power button to see if it will go to the Startup Repair screen so you can get to the Recovery Console. Let the startup repair run, then if it says it couldn't fix it, get to the Recovery Screen and see if you can run a System Restore and select a Restore Point (date and time) before the update was downloaded. System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected). System Recovery on the other hand Deletes Everything and sets your system back to when you first purchased it.

Try running the check disk utility.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

If after the check disk utility you are still having problems then you might have to reinstall your operating system.

Hp pavilion slimline s3600t desktop pc - Wont boot up, flashes to blue screen after hp blue screen and restarts. no option for safe mode either

A Blue Screen is more time than not indicative of a driver issue or some hardware issue. First of all when it boots to the screen that shows Safe Mode and the other options, scroll down and see if there is an option to Stop or Disable Automatic Restart on Boot. This will stop the screen from restarting itself when the blue screen appears and give you a chance to read and see what the error is. Afterwards it is ok to run Startup Repair. Startup Repair does not delete any of your personal files. Let startup repair run and then see if it boots. Once again, startup repair does not delete any of your music, documents, pictures, videos or programs. System Restore does not delete any of you documents, music, pictures, videos or programs. System Recovery WILL DELETE all of your music, pictures, videos, documents & any programs you've added since you brought the computer home from the store. System Recovery sets your computer back to the very first time you turned it on after you purchased it. I would run the startup repair, if that does not fix your problem, see if you can run a System Restore. A lot of time the Restore Points are damaged or missing when this happens, but give it a try and restore to a point before you started having the blue screen issue. If all fails you're going to need a system disc so that you can get into the Recovery Console so that you can enter a dos command in the little black box that opens up with white letters. You want to type: chkdsk /r
Let it run. It will run well over an hour and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, but that's ok. Let it run to completion then try rebooting. If this doesn't work, you're going to need to take it to a repair shop or reload the operating system yourself.

Acer 5315 laptop ''eRecovery'' issue

Try going into the start menu, click run, and type in "msconfig" - without quotes. When that comes up, on the right hand side of the screen should be a tab labeled "Startup". Select that, and scroll through the list to see if the eRecovery is an option - you may be able to deselect it. Also check under the "Services" tab - it may be located there(If you check the box under the services list labeled "Hide Microsoft", it makes it much easier and safer to find/edit active startup services)

check the event viewer by going to start>right click my computer>manage ... click on the left pane whre it says even viewer and click on applications.. look for a red ballon with a white x at the time when your application crashed and double click on it (there may be a few of those if it has crashed before.. and not all of them may be about the the application you're troubleshooting.. so read a little bit on the error and see if it's related with your problem and post the information you see there. or google the error code.

I had a similar issue. Check and see if you have 2 Fisher-Price file folders under C:\Program Files. Go to My Coputer, then c drive, then program files. You should see only 1 Fisher Price folder. If you see another with Fisher-Price(2), Open that folder and select all of the files. Then select cut. Paste those files in the original Fisher-Price Folder and that should get you up and going. That is what I had to do to get mine to work again. I don't know how that second folder got created but it did.
Hope this works for you
