How to take a honeywell radiator off the wall

Turn off the circuit breaker to the AC and heating unit. The circuit breaker is inside the home electrical box. The door of your electrical box has a guide indicating which circuit breaker controls the cooling and heating system.Pull the cover off the Honeywell manual thermostat. If necessary, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover away from the base of the thermostat. Locate the two small screws securing the sub-base to the base of the thermostat. The sub-base is the portion of the thermostat that has the indicator dial or indicator lever. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and pull the sub-base away from the thermostat.Remove the screws securing the base of the thermostat to the wall with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the thermostat base away from the wall so you can access the wires.Loosen the terminal screws securing the wires to the back of the thermostat with the flat-head screwdriver. Wrap the wires around a pencil or a large screw. This will prevent the wires from accidentally falling inside the wall cavity.

My honeywell thermostat is asking for heat but the furnace won't turn on.

The first thing i would do is to make sure the t-stat is good. One easy way to do this is to remove stat cover then remove the screws that hold it to the wall. Disconnect t-stat wires making sure you note location. There should be a red and white wire for heat so put these two together and if your furnace comes on then the stat needs replaced. If it does not you need to check further to make sure you have power to your furnace. If the furnace does come on with these two wires together the furnace will run non stop. Hope this helps you. Thank you

How do I short my thermostat?

If you are asking how to bypass thermostat to make heat work then remove cover plate from t-stat and remove screws that hold base to wall. Disconnect wires to Rh and W and jumper together. This should make heater run non stop. Thank you.

It seems that our thermostat is stuck. We have two Honeywell T8000 programmable thermostats. The one upstairs won't go lower than 77 and we are burning up. We've tried turning it off and it won't shut...

Sometimes a thermostat can accidently be put into C instead of Farh.
probably not the case though.

Souns like you have two furnaces in your house? Turn off the Furnace
if you are capable of removing the thermostat, check and make sure
no wires are touching-this can be the most common problem if a
thermostat has been changed out.

If that is ok go to the furnace giving you problems. Shut the power off.
Remove the furnace doors usually where the blower motor is there is a
control board. You are looking for terminals-R/W/G/C/ and Y.
Remove and cover the R and W wires seperate. Put doors back on
and turn power back on.If the furnace does not start up, then the
problem could be the thermostat or the wires.

To eliminate the wires or thermostat. Shut power off and remove
thermostat or remove wire from W. Turn the power back on if the
furnace stays off, replace the thermostat

My Honeywell PRO 3000 thermostat is not activating the cooling system when prompted.

R==power w=heat y=cool g=fan remove the front cover to reveal the 4-wires and take a jumper wire from r-----to ---g ,to see if the fan operates. Then take the jumper wire from r----to--y, to see if the cooling system works outside, because when calling for cool, the thermostat is internaly connected to g--for fan.. Then if it kicks in, then you have a bad thermostat!
