Delete any unimportant emails. You can start by removing the ones with large attachments. Those tend to hog lots of space.

For ten years I had 6,000 emails in my inbox, then suddenly they were all deleted. Now it seems I can only keep emails in my inbox for a couple weeks before they are gone. This is terrible as I relief...

Are both the computer and the iphone configured with the email you are having a problem with ? If so, I would suggest you verify the configuration of the email clients you are using.

It may be that the PC or the iphone has been configured to deleted the emails from your inbox after two weeks.

I just received a warning from this address: SBCGLOBAL.NET ADMIN" <regisgib@sbcglobal.net> saying they needed all my sbcglobal information and password. Is this legitimate?

Hi Good Day,

Please don't give out your personal information to this email, it will only use your credential for bad things.

these type of email our usually scam email's when the sender able to get your information they will send email to your contacts and ask for money and they will change your password so that you will not be able to access your email again.

I cant log in to facebook

I had the same problem...when I go to type username and password page goes to load, turns white as its says 'redirecting'.

Sent several emails to info@facebook.com with no update from them on fixing this. Tried clearing cache/temp files in IE (tools--.internet options-->delete files), deleting cookies, clearing history, running Norton scan (no probs/no findings), restarting computer and all of these methods do NOT fix problem. I use IE6. Note that for the 1 out 10 chance I do successfully login, the page still freezes when I switch from one tab to in facebook to another tab in facebook.

I hope everyone experiencing sends an email to facebook ASAP(info@facebook.com) b/c the more that report this the faster they get out with a fix (I had heard thatFacebook might have changed something on facebook's servers on 2/5/09, which might explain why this problem started on that date). Switching to Firefox just to use Facebook is not acceptable.

Additional Details
Others have reported that when using either IE6 or IE7, that the problems discussed above have constantly occured since/around 2/5/09.

Everyone experiencing these problems with either IE6 or IE7, PLEASE send a detailed email to info@facebook.com ASAP, and include it that email which version of IE you are using, and if the problem is as outlined above, include those details. Facebook tech support (INFO@FACEBOOK.COM) needs to know this ASAP.

If you are experiencing these problems send an email ASAP to Facebook's tech support at INFO@FACEBOOK.COM !!!!

Everytime i log in facebook, it says, incorrect email or password. It makes me MAD!!!

first, get a grip ... it is nt worth the health risks you face.

second, make sure the mail is correct

third ... if you cant make your password work, ask FB for the chance to get your pass or update your pass.

fourth, if that fails, open a new account and abandon the old one ...

it is not worth getting a corinary

The email you got is a scam email to get a backlog into your paypal account.

Please ignore future emails from this address as it is not from Paypal.

Good luck and be very careful the kind of link that you browse.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Do remember to rate this.

Can receive emails but cannot send emails

Send problems. There are several common causes of problems with sending email:

  • Mail queued. If you appear to be able to send email but it never arrives, it may be in a queue. Some applications put email in a queue when you send it, and the user has to manually send all queued mail to actually transmit it. Check your File and Edit menus for any queues, and also check the status of the email in the Out mailbox to see if it was actually sent -- if not, send it again.

  • Send on check. This is a common problem -- many email servers are configured to use the password authentication involved with checking mail to allow the sending of mail, and therefore require clients to check for mail at the same time or just before sending mail. If you get an intermittent error message and can send at some times and not others, make sure the option "send on check" is enabled in your email settings. As a temporary fix, you can often solve the problem by manually checking for mail shortly (a few seconds or minutes) before sending mail. This problem can also produce the message "relaying not allowed" described below, for much the same reason.

  • Relaying not allowed. Many Internet access providers require clients within their network to use their own servers for sending mail, as a policy intended to cut down on email spammers sending spam through other provider's servers. If you have more than one email address and can download mail without problems from a POP account with a different domain name than is used by your Internet access provider, but get the error "Relaying not allowed" when you try to send, then you probably need to set the outgoing SMTP server address to the mail server of your Internet service provider, instead of your email provider. Search your Internet network provider's home page or call technical assistance to obtain the address of their SMTP server, and enter it in your email client settings (first copy and save your existing server setting in case you need to set it back). This error message can also be produced by the "send on check" issue described in the bullet above.

  • Server down. If you can do a successful connection check, and the above suggestions don't help, and a recipient continues to say that email sent from you does not arrive, and you are certain their address is spelled correctly, then one of the email servers between you and your destination is likely down. Blocked email is typically cached and sent when the missing server comes back up, usually within a few hours or days. If the problem persists and you can successfully send to other email addresses, then the email provider of your recipient is likely having a problem -- you should contact them by phone and ask them if they are getting email from anyone else, request they send an email to you, and if necessary suggest they do a connection check from their end to help diagnose the problem.

Emails problems will not send out

it shouldn't have anything to do with the router, the ports for emails are automatically opened and allowed by windows, assuming you are using outlook or similair you should not have been able to send emails using another connection as you would have to change the smtp settings to send mail through the connection server, in this case if you have a internet security programme you may find it is checking outgoing mail for viruses and sometimes they get put in your outbox and never sent, if this is the cas dissable scan outgoing email in your security software. If you are sending mail through your online mailing web page eg. hotmail then there is a problem with the e mail you are sending perhaps too large a file or a file that requires you to zip it for security reasons.
