Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Formatting my sansa e250..it says reading bootloader and writing bootloader

I downloaded something from the sandisk website, a firmware i guess,it is used to format the device, ok, i did it, but now that i disconnected the device from the pc,it says
formatting...
format finished
reading bootloader
writing bootloader
its doing nothing, the screen is frozen at that,whats happening, is that ok??
should i wait more>?

    it wouldnt format!

    as soon as i right click and then click format,it disconnects itself even though its plugged to the pc!!!

    i cant even go to the folder and delete them old fashioned style by deleting the files cos the same thing happens!!!

    Hi

    my problem is that i´m not able to format the player by right-clicking on the device. just before end of the formatting there is a failure saying that the formatting cannot be completed. I´ve no idea why.
    All tries to format and reboot the player via recovery mode are stopped after "writing bootloader", the same problem as above.
    Hope, that anybody has a solution for this kind of problem

You Installed The Firmware wrong. (Do This)

1.Connect Your Player to The PC then Format it by right clicking the players hard drive. (F:) , (G:) , (I:) ,Ect.

2.After Formatting the Player go to this site : www.Google.com

3.Go to www.google.com Then Search For "Sansa e250 Latest Firmware. OR Try This http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=51

4. Go To the Page Where The Firmware Is at and Download it

then put it on the player disconnect and turn on normally should say new firmware or sumthin while loading.

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

Refresh database hang up and screen turn black

Erasing bad music on my player


If you're fine with erasing your whole library, then just format the player. Connect the player to your PC:

1. Open "My Computer".
2. Right click "Sansa e250" and select "format..."
3. Check "quick format" and run.
4. Reapply the firmware from the sandisk website.

...and you're done. the sansa will be totally wiped clean. and now that you have the newest firmware, you shouldn't see this problem again.
