Panasonic 53WX42F...blinking continuously...

...Sorry it's kind of a repost. But i'm not seeing what the difference is with 3blinks and continuous blinking? Mine is continualy blinking. Is this power supply? I'm trying to find the part online. I'd be willing to replace myself if i can. My warranty is long since expired and i don't want to shell out a bunch of money. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks you for the expedient reply! I fear the worst. Is there any possible chance it could just be a fuse or something cheap/easy? I'm willing to put in some sweat before paying a tech to come diagnose $$$, as long as there is no saudering involved.

    Again, thanks.

When a set blinks 3 times it indicates the convergence circuit is at fault, another amount of blinks indicate another area of the set as having the problem. There is no error vode for panisonic when the LED just blinks constantly. You may ned to get the service manual to check and see which voltages are not present in the stand by voltages. If you would like a service manual you can get one at the following link. They will email it to you.

I dont think it would be a fuse most likely the standby voltages are the cause, any repair will involve de-soldering and resoldering .

I have a 55 Panasonic LED LCD- MODEL NO. TC-55AS680U - TV Turns on for 5 min., then shuts off and the red stand by light blinks continuously.

No guarantees, but first unplug the unit (when it is on), wait 15 or so minutes, plug it back in and see if this recycling move will fix it. Also, check to make sure you haven't inadvertently set some kind of timer. Good luck . . .

Hello, I have a 53-inch Panasonic PT-53WX42F TV, and it refuses to turn on. No picture, no sound. All it does is the tiny red power light blinks 3 times repeatedly. Can I fix this myself? What parts do I...

Thats a convergence failure when the led blinks 3 times. Your model uses the PT47WX42 convergence repair kit available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the parts and the CD with instructions for the repair.

Goodman model gmpn100-4 what does 3blinks on

Since most units do not have the same diagnosis, remove both cover panels and read diagnostics on the inside of the lower door.If it says flame sensor, clean it, with a dollar bill. Also, sometimes units will lockout. Shut power off for 10 or 15 minutes, and restart it. Good luck. If I had your phone number, we could do it a lot easier.

I have a panasonic flat panel tv 1080i. 46" I think. When I press the power button, the red light comes on, then it starts blinking. And the TV never turns on, but the red standby light continues to blink....

the s1 models have been having several problems. it really depends on how many times the red led is blinking. panasonic uses a certain number of blinks to tell you what board has failed. the s1 models have just recently come out. therefore your tv should still be under manufacturer warranty. call panasonic and see if there is a servicer in your area. our company is in dallas texas. Has anyone had problems with connecting an 'HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + RCA L / R Audio Extractor Converter (HDMI input,HDMI+ Audio output)' to a Panasonic PT-53TW53? I have a TiVo Premiere hooked up to my Panasonic PT-53TW53. I use the HDMI out, and RCA R+L outputs on the TiVo, and hook up to the digital in connections on the TV. The conversion of the HDMI out is via an HDMI to DVI cable. This has worked perfectly for years, but recently I wanted to disconnect the TiVo and replace with my Roku or Amazon Fire TV. Both have a single HDMI output. So I purchased an AGPtek HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + RCA L / R Audio Extractor Converter (HDMI input, HDMI+ Audio output) box, hooking up the HDMI output from the Roku or Fire TV to the input on the extractor/converter, and simply disconnecting the HDMI to DVI and RCA R+L outputs from the TiVo, and plugging them into the outputs on the converter/extractor. The converter/extractor has a 3 position switch: PASS, 2CH audio, or 5.1CH (via and SPDIF or Toslink cable). I have had 2 of these converter/extractors, and with both the Roku and Fire TV I got the same results with both converter/extractors: With the switch on 2CH, which is where I understand I should get HDMI video and 2CH RCA audio, all I get is the RCA audio. No video. If I switch to PASS I get video with no audio. Of course on the 5.1 setting I get nothing, since the TV does not support SPDIF. Yet I see reviews all over Amazon indicating folks are using this converter/extractor for this very purpose, and it is working fine. I can't possibly imagine that it is some sort of incompatibility issue with the TV, since the TiVo has worked (and continues to) fine for years. Any ideas?
