Re intall Lexmark 4200

You may have to delete the files in the print que. It should show that there's still files waiting to print in the lexmark program.

Computer has to do nothing with fax setup.

Inbound and outbound fax happen through the lexmark device without the help of computer. Computer use the device for the printing purpose only.

All fax related configuration has to be done on the lexmark through the help of its display screen and buttons

if that doesn't work... try googling lexmark x4270 ppd files... you might find the driver that way...

START- CONTROL PANEL-PRINTER AND FAXS.
Is it listed there? If not click on ADD A PRINTER, follow the prompts. if that doesn't work , let me know, and we'll try other things. .

open "control panel"in windows select fax and printer icon this will show you available printers make sure you lexmark is selected as default printer if not listed there then re intall the printer software and driver from the disk that came with it, your driver is lost meaning no real printer available so yor system has no choice but to offer "print to file option"

go to start menu - control panel then printer and faxes.
then set your lexmark printer as default priner by right clik it.
then reopen your software
thats it.

2. Click the Troubleshooting tab on the left side of the screen.
