HP Pavilion DV6-1359WM, has a volume control touch pad area located at the top. It's not a driver issue or a setting. This is how you fix it. It worked for me and for some other people....

1. Shut down your laptop.
2. Unplug the power.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Push and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
5. Reinstall the battery.
6. Plug power back in.
7. Boot

Enjoy :) brought to you by high DanK Inc.

Dv7-1023cl problems with quick touch buttons

You don't need to activate the drivers. if you reinstalled them then they are there and should be working.

There should be alternate methods to using the quick touch keys, such as using the conventional methods.

For example to change your volume, just click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time and adjust the volume. Or click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound and adjust the volume. Also click Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment and see if there is a volume control there. Also normally you can adjust the volume by keystrokes. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key near the bottom left portion of the keyboard and press the volume keys (there should be 3 volume keys, volume up, volume down and volume mute).

As for the Wireless there is a switch on the side or in the front of the laptop that controls the wireless. Also there are keystrokes that can toggle it off or on once the wireless switch is on. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the icon of a wireless signal )))) or it will have the icon of a tower with a wireless signal )))).

Stops and starts at random. don't have manual. craig model #cdm2891 so don't know whay all the buttons are for

Hi there.
I'm assuming this is the CD Player you own :

http://www.craigelectronics.com/product_detail/personalCDPlayer/CDM2891.html

I only ask as this brand does not exist in England. However I know that if your portable CD Player is cutting out sound, this is due to excessive movement fron being in a pocket or from being in a bumpy car. The cutting out is because the "Antishock" has not had a chance to store the music information, so instead the unit just pauses or cuts out sound.

-> Once = Skip track forward
<- Once = Play from start of track or skip backwards
Hold down either of these to fasst forward or rewind
The square means stop
II = Pause (press again to resume....sometimes pressing play will resume too)

These are universal key functions. Having not seen the item before, I am unable to guide furthur unless you can direct me to some pictures that I can see the function buttons larger and can explain what they do

All the best

Will not fast forward a song and when i pause it it only mutes the music and keeps playing the song on my phone

Typically with the Plantronics Backbeat 903 Bluetooth headset, you should be able to move forward or backwards one track. Press and hold the volume/tracking/mute button forward or backwards for each track. You should hear a single low tone for each track change. Below is a link for the Backbeat 903 user guide.

How do i turn on the wireless card to my acer aspire 6930-6760

The media control buttons give access to volume control, skip, pause/play, and stop. The buttons are capacitive, and glow blue when the laptop is on. To the right of the media control buttons are four buttons that perform programmable actions. By default, they function as wireless on/off, launch Internet, launch Bluetooth manager, and launch Acer Arcade. Also, in the top right corner is a button which turns virtual surround sound on or off.

Hp laptop touchpad for cd and wireless conet. stopped working

I get it. The multimedia keys above the keyboard is not working. If I'm right, check if you have installed the HP Quick Launch buttons software. If not check in C:/SwSetup and you'll find a folder. Install the application and check if the buttons are working. If not, post back
