Pdp-42A3HD overheat

Hi, you may want to try this. I too have a plasma screen and what I have found is that the electronics plus the cooling fan or fans suck in a lot, I mean alot of dust. My solution that I do every 6 mths is to take the tv out side and I blow it through with a compressed air every orofice you can. I know everyone doesn\'t have a compressor but you may know someone who has. I think the components may be overheating due to a build up of dust. I do the same for my desk top PC and my laptop also. You will be surprised how much dust comes out make sure you are up wind or wear a mask.

Hope that helps

Laptop overheats

Use can air instead. Laptops are tough to open and even tougher to close correctly. Not to mention possibly damaging it.

Aspire 5742 i3-370m overheating how do i fix it

Three things that will make a laptop overheat:

1. Dust - Dust inside the laptop, dust clogging the vents, dust around the fans, dust around the cpu and heatsink. To fix it, take the laptop apart, take a can of compressed air and blow out the dust.

2. A fan is not working. To fix it, you will have to take the laptop apart to replace the fan.

3. The Thermal Paste around the cpu and heatsink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool. To fix, take the laptop apart and apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste.

Another work around for a laptop that is overheating is to by a Laptop Cooling Pad that has fans on it and it plugs into the usb port of the laptop. The laptop sits on it and it keep the laptop cool. You can buy a laptop cooling pad for less than $20 from Tiger Direct.

When the site opens just type Laptop Cooling Pad in the search box at the top of the screen then press GO. Sort the returned results by Price Low to High.

My wi is overheating and shuts off

The wii would take alot to overheat. You should try taking a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle and clean out the vents (dont use forced air into it from a can that just makes things worse). Make sure it is in a open spot with at least 1 foot around it on all sides. Try putting a fan next to it also to blow heat away faster.

If your more experienced and your warranty is gone on it then find a guide on how to open it up and clean out the dust in it. Take a bit of time but will preserve the life considerably.

I having a dell inspiron 1525 laptop i brought 16 months back but now system was once i start with in 30minuts it will became very heat and automatcally will shut down would you please tell me the reason

The only thing in can think of is the cooling fan in the notebook has died. there is a few things that can cause them to go out.
1. just the age of the fan
2. alot of dust gets into the fan
3. smoking alot around the computer can cause tar to build up on the fan also causing it to go out.
4. The vents on the fan are clogged by dust.
Those are a few things that can cause this.
hope that helps a little bit thanks

Error 74

error e74 is probably the most common error. what ever you do don't overheat it. alot of people think hey lets over heat it it will fix it. well overheating it melt heatsink jell(very important for your console to run) and it will overheat its self destroying the xbox. the error code e74 is a problem with your video out put. this could be due to a bad cable. try a diffrent one a friends or some thing. or try blowing the dust out of the port. to make a better connection. if all else fails try finding someone local to fix it. maybe only $20-$50 dollars

My HP pavilion dv5 1125nr overheats alot and i dont know if it is a problem with the fan or just the computer... PLEASE HELP!!!

It could be both. Make sure your vents are all free of any dust. Check that your fan is operating properly. If the vents are free and fan is working you have a few choices.1. You could upgrade the fan/heatsink to one that cools more efficiently, or 2. You could spend the $20-30 that a laptop cooling pad would cost and use it under the laptop whenever it's in use. Hope this helps.

Laptop won't start up.

It does sound like a hardware problem but it may not be. You should pull the back panels off the laptop and dust it out using a low psi air compressor or can of air. It may be just dust causing the processor to overheat and freeze. One thing you can try, if you dont have files you want to keep is to run the factory restore or a reinstall of windows and see if the problem persists.

Disc Drive Problem with disc being read.

How old is the unit?
Do you keep it at floor level alot? Because this thing ( like all the game consoles) is a dust MAGNET.
Get a can of compressed CO2 ( Dust off)
Open the drawer and shoot into the draw over and under. Reboot .
Cant guarantee anything though
