Question about HP LaserJet 3030 All-In-One Printer

Powers up with an UPGRADE ERROR CALL HP . What is the problem? jeanne013@aol.com

    printer is not used often and problem occured when it was powered on.The printer has been unplugged for a day and then been powered on and still has same error. A power problem could be a possibility.

Hi,

Unplug the printer for few minutes, say 15 minutes and then turn it on. This would reset this printer.If the problem persists, kindly revert with more details :-

1. Is there any power surge?
2. What actually happened that resulted in this error - Were you printing ?

    To begin with, this is an ongoing issue with HP Laser-jet printers.There are a couple of issues which we have came across.This is a firmware problem. This could either be resolved by re-flashing the firmware or replacing formatter board.Unfortunately,even most of the people in HP support is also not aware of this problem. I have many clients who actually called HP for the same problem, and was given an option for replacement without mentioning that what could be the reason.

Why doesn't it start?


i am not sure what you mean by resolved LED errors. These lights in the back tell you that the BIOS is checking your hardware and the way to correct that is by replacing the faulty hardware. For example you determine memory is bad and you replace it. Make sure that is connected properly. You can do this with all hardware. Solution or Workaround:
NOTE: Replace the low voltage power supply before replacing the fuser or fuser power supply.

A firmware upgrade is available on www.hp.com that will solve this issue.

If the error will not clear after the firmware upgrade, replace the low voltage power supply.

If the error continues, replace the fuser power supply.

If the error still continues, replace the fuser.

Cause:

Low voltage power supply malfunction.

49.4c06 error on my hp 6040 printer 3 times. how do i fix?


49.4C06 is a firmware error indicating the printer cannot handle the job . This is mainly caused by someone printing a PDF file.
You must first clear the error by disconnecting the network cable and power off the machine allowing it to sit for a couple of minutes before powering on. Use that time to find the person who sent the job to the print queue and have them delete it.

Firmware error. Unplug the power cord. Wait 30 seconds. Plug it in, power it on. If the error comes back, you will have to upgrade the firmware.

is your PC XP oS?
is it BSOD'ing with the blue screen of *****>?

driver recovery is not OS recovery at all.

the PC does not boot XP does it.
so if the F10 (or F10 )recover feature is dead.
power on F10 key or F11
the restore runs and fixes this.
if restore is dead
the HDD can be dead.
hard drive.
in this case you need, a new hdd and a real HP CD set to install XP, (microsoft does not sell xp now)
neither does, HP.


please post, full symptoms.

all I know is
boot.... error,
if that is it, then it is it the hdd is dead
the boot files missing or the OS is corrupted full of virus as all XP machines are.

find a newer pc, with w7 is best , no really
or find a XP disk, (had to find 15 years ago made)


if you try to upgrade this pc, you will find the
realtek chips LAN dead. and they have no newer drivers.

Error 55.1 on hp 2600n printer


55.1 is a DC controller error. You want to make sure the printer is pluged into a good power source with no surge protector. The manual says to upgrade the firmware on the dc controller and if that doesn't work the dc controller would need to be replaced. You can get the dc controller firmware upgrade at www.hp.com. then click on software and driver downloads. then model type and operating system. Then look for DC controller firmware upgrade. Download and follow the instructions in the read me file in order for more instructions to load into the printer.
