Question about HP Printers & Copiers

We have a HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One. Problem: The all-in-one is giving an error message. "Reset Power." Unable to find solution to the problem in owners manual. Please help. Thanks!

    I am having same problem. However, it only happens after two to four pages print and then it wont reset. I have tried unplugging, taking out driver, and reinstallilng but it is still "BLINKING".

Hmmm...that's a functional issue..unhook printer from computer entirely.

unplug from wall outlet

let sit for 4 min

plug into wall power only

turn on

see if it resets..

I tried to copy something and when i did it came up a error message that said "paper size not detected". i tried everything and it still wont work


Perform a Semi-Full reset

While the printer is on Press on, Unplug the power cord from the back of it,

Press and Hold the # and 3

Plug the power cord back while still holding down the # and 3,

Wait for the printe to initialize and release the buttons.

Try printing.

HP 6310 needs to reset power. Tried turning off


it may be the power supply itself! have any of you tried using a different power cord? the problem may not be in the printer but in the cord itself. i have 2 hp 6310's that were giving me the 'reset power' error. when i changed the POWER CORD, that error message went away and it went into the insert cartridges mode. good luck.
