Kindle 3rd Generation -- Linksys WRT54G router. Kindle won't recognize password set in router -- Always says "Unable to connect to Wi-Fi Network. Would you like to enter the passworsd again or...

I don't have a solution -- I'm having the exact same problem and I'm looking for a solution. Called Kindle tech support, and all they could recommend was to go to McDonald's to see if I can connect using their wireless. They DID say this Linksys WRT54G router is a compatible router with the 3rd Gen Kindle.

I cannot access the router with a kindle when I tipe my password in the kindle it tells me its the wrong password when it is the right one

It may want a WEP key rather than a password! Thats what my kindle uses for WiFi.
On a linksys router you can usually find this by using a browser from a computer attached to that network.
Typically you will type in 192.168.1.1 as the address of the router. (Sometimes that will be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1)
When you see the router home page, login and view the wireless settings. This is where you will find the security key you need.

Did you connect a LAN cable from your computer to the wireless router?
This needs to be done to configure the wireless router, and the LAN cable can be removed after configuring the wireless router.

My wrt600n start playing with my speed it change it every minute from 0.3 Mbps to 14 Mbps. how i can fix it

A couple of suggestions.
First, check your signal strength. The further you are away from your wireless router, the less signal strength you have. The router compensates for this by operating at a lesser bandwidth.
Next, make sure you don't have something interfering with the wireless signal. Microwaves and cordless phones are two major culprits for messing with the 2.4Ghz signal on a "G" router.
Last, check for the latest firmware from Linksys' website. Sometimes there are buggy things that just need to have a firmware upgrade to fix. Consult your product manual or the Linksys tech support site for firmware upgrade instructions.
