As long as the wiring to the heating elements are in good shape, and you have the correct amount of power to the unit then yes the control board is bad and needs to be replaced

Try shutting off the breaker and turning it back on after a few minutes.

Oven heats & then beeps code F2EO then stops heating

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
Here is that part to order.

Oven won't heat up, but no error codes

I called the repairman for help. Turns out that one of the suggestions would have worked if I could go to basement turn off breaker then run up and carry out the suggestion and run to the basement again and turn back on breaker, then up again faster. The repairman was able to fix problem by using me as the go between the breaker and the oven. He stayed up and I stayed down thereby eliminating the problem of not being able to run up and down fast enough myself. The two of us were able to make things happen in the time limit. I think I should have gotten a break on the bill since I played helper!! If anyone else has this problem and has closer access to the breakers than I, they would be able to cut the repairman out of the picture and save the service fee. Maybe I should run up and down from oven to breakers for a set amount of time for exercise in preparation for the next oven problem. May be easier to get a new oven without a computer in it if such a thing exist anymore because at 77+ I don't think I am going to get much faster even with exercise.

I just replaced my baking element in my oven, and when i turned the breaker back on, now the new element automatically heats up by itself and stays on....with everything off. The only way I can get it to...

If the only wires you disconnected and reconnected were the 2 on the element itself, the bake relay is fused. Depending on the brand and model, the bake relay can be located on either a realy board or the electronic oven controller. Either the controller or the relay board (if present), will also need to be replaced.

Hi, I have a maytag oven model number MER5770ACW. We had a power surge. The stove top elements work but the electronic screen and actual oven will not work/heat. pls help. thank you

Before you spend any money, try a "reboot". Shut off the breaker for at least 15 seconds, then turn it back on; see if that helps.
If not, the power surge may have fried the microcontroller. If you were actually hit with a power surge, the local power company may be responsible; they may make the necessary repairs for you, but you'll probably have to go to whatever state agency regulates the utilities.

Oven will not stay heated. F1 light on.

Hello there:
on most ge models this code it can be either a (f 0) or the (f 1 ) is telling you that the the thermistor controle circuit is going bad or has failed all together. or there is a short in the erc circuit meaning the electronic controle board. ok
So i would recommend have a repairman check out the thermistor first since this is the most common thing to fail then if this passes have them test the controle board or the ecr circuit
and if the oven is still under warranty you might be able to use the warranty to get it fixed ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards MIchael

Maytag oven beeping the message is F5 oven needs to be turned off

Hello, the oven can be turned off from the breaker panel, the Error message F5 refers to your electronic oven control is bad. You can try to reset it by turning the breaker off for 20 minutes and reseting the breaker..if this fails to work you will need to replace the EOC. Hope this helps, if you have any further questions please feel free to comment again..Good Luck!!!

Dacor Double Oven

HI - I just had the same problem - repairman came and reset the breaker in the oven which "tripped" (even tho I havent used the lower oven in months).  Read posts here on other Dacor ovens which explain how to get to the reset switch to avoid having $150 in repair costs - I have not tried that myself tho but good luck!

F2 code and consistent beeping with my Maytag Electric Wall Oven model CWE5800 or CWE4800

The F2 code indicates a stuck relay. You will have to replace the relay board. It may be a stand alone board or it may be part of the ERC Electronic Range Control. If you know how to check you won't have to call a tech.
