I hit my xbox 360 with a football and my game got marks try cleaning with a soft cloth but it would not work what do i do now?

You can take the game to almost any big movie rental store and they will buff it for under $7 usually (looks brand new again). You can also buy a skip doctor they work but it wont look new on the bottom it will look kind of swirlly what it does is sands off the disc in small layers until the scratch is gone. I've used both ways. Skip doctor works for all games but a gamecube disc and I think a wii disc cant remember though. It works on ps3 ps1 ps2 xbox xbox 360 etc though those were the only two I can remember it having a problem on. That cloth wont take that circular scratch out.

I was playing C.O.D MW2 but my xbox was turned upside down so i turned it back the right way then my xbox made a few noises then a notice pops up and says could not read disc. so i cleaned yhe disc with a...

There is really big chance for an Xbox 360 to completely ruin a game disc if it was moved while the disc is spinning inside, even the slightest bump or vibration could higly cause for a disc to be scratched. This also happens with other optical drives which has spinning motion, say DVD/CD players and other game consoles.

It wont read 360 games but it reads original Xbox games

cd drive error, if its an older xbox thats what it would be, either that or disk read error thing, i would suggest taking it in somewhere and have people look at it. or check the xox 360 games to see if there are any big scratches. that would be a big problem if there r scratches.

Xbox 360 motherboard scratch.

Depending on where it is scratched makes the difference. But if its small scratches I think you should be fine. However any scratch on any of these platform like things can do any amount of damage.

Replacement motherboard? You could look into microsoft to see if they sell them. However even if you do obtain one you would need to find the right code to unlock it, same parts for yours. Which will get tricky. You could try here if you think you can do it by yourself:

Other solution: just buy a new system, they are fairly cheap.

Scratched Xbox 360 motherboard

Usually if a motherboard has been scored or damaged.
( tracks or resistors/capacitors dislodged et,c )
The board is in the Bin. ( scrap ) unless the damage can be repaired. The RROD Or red-ring of death. Is usually due to the x-clamps fitted to the console initially, by the manufacturer.
Replacing the x-clamps, with a kit ( bolts/washers thermal Compound ) And 4 x heatpads recommended. Can cure the RROD. And in my own experience the 1 red light And E74 error.

Bottom line, if the boards scratched. it,s in the Bin.

Xbox 360 motherboard scratch.

Hello jbitwa, To determine if the scratches will have messed up you motherboard you have have to determine where the scratches are and what is scratched up. Now if you just scratched up the green motherboard (no circuits [lines cut open] and no chips [blocks]) you should be fine. But the only way to truly tell is if it will turn on when you plug everything back in. Now the processor board is small and efficient but there is still room on there for someone to scratch and still allow forgiveness.
I look forward to your post to see if it still fires up.
