I had the exact same problem and was on my way out to purchase a new one when I came across solution #1. I decided to check the hoses more thoroughly and discovered my problem. I released the handle to extend the hose and, using a flashlight, inspected the inside of the hose leading to the dump tank. Sure enough, there was a clog where the hose attaches to the nozzle that I never would have seen without a flashlight. Works good as new!

There should be a bottom plate covering the brush roll that you can remove, if you can't dig out the what is in there, try using your hose and suck it out from the bottom, maybe you will be able to get it out.

Did you check the dirt inlet by the brush roll, filters ok, they should be replaced once a year. Belts can look fine, but if they are a few months old, I am sure they have stretched and the brush roll will not turn like it should under load. It is possible that the motor isn't running up to speed, thereby reducing suction.

Mine does the same thing. There is no suction. I found that there is a door that opens when you tilt the handle in the down possition. I think there should be a spring in place so it can open. Until I find a replacement spring I have to open the door manually throught the opening under the light.

The water channel hose could be torn. you can check by removing the lower tank and tilting it backwards, it is located in the lower section. could also be the filter cover. it is needed for full suction control.
