Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Hello, I accidentally left my 360 on and watching a movie when I fell asleep with it on. :( I shut it off and put it in front of a fan to cool off, when I went to plug it back in and turned it on, I got the 3 red rings of death. How can I fix this?
3 Red lights problem is one of the most common problem of Xbox 360. You will have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.

If the warranty sticker is still in place behind the faceplate and the console has not been modded you may still be in warranty.
3 rings of death is now covered by a 3 year warranty and not the standard 1 year, this will only apply to the 3 rings of death, all other faults or defects are covered by 1 year.
Just call MS and explain that you have the 3 rings of death (This is providing you have not broken the warranty sticker as per above).
Please rate my solution when possible....!

Hello Again Cereal_dude I had this problem once, my friend told me to put it in the oven for 400 Degrees for 10 minutes, and that will re-solder the un-solder parts on the CPU. The 3 rings mean there is a CPU error. When the CPU gets to hot, the Solder parts on the CPU become un-solder. So when the 360 is cooked at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, it'll re-solder the CPU parts back together and it should work after it cools off. Good luck!
