How did you test the Power Supply? Do you know if whoever worked on the computer/motherboard that they observed Anti-Static Precautions? If the motherboard has been removed from the case, and reinstalled in another case, was it ensured that the Standoffs on the Support Plate were matched to the mounting holes in the motherboard? (Metal spacers, hex shaped, are Standoffs. Support Plate is the metal area under the motherboard in the computer case, that the motherboard attaches to) EVERY Standoff lined up with a mounting hole? If not, a metal standoff could short against exposed solder joints on the bottom of the motherboard. Post back in a Comment.

Try to look at your PROCESSOR, if you got another one, just to check on your board, if its going to power up!
Either your processor conked out or its overheating, your heat might not be installed properly!
try cleaning the PASTE between your heat sink and processor and put a NEW paste!

K9N6PGM2-V2 motherboard.. I power it on & the monitor doesn't come on..I have had it about 2 months & this is the first time I had a problem. I change out my dvd player & when I turn it back...

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to boot

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

No audio after installing 2*2GB

Your motherboard supports maximum 2GB RAM. So, the problem is due to the 4GB RAM.

Check your motherboard details here:

Hope this solves the problem. Thanks.

Power lead

The Switch is non-powered except by the board.
Black should go to power or + side

It's like a wall switch for the light (power comes in on one side and out on the other) If it were a push in to a detent (like the Old 386's and 486's with AT power supply) to connect and a push in to release the detent it would make a difference. With these power buttons on the cases now, it doesn't.
