The drain hose needs to be attached appr. 32 inches above the floor and needs to have an airgap between the drain pie and the drain hose in order not to sifon the water out of the machine.
What you can do with the duratub is:
Hole in the side where the washer is. Get a drain pipe for your duratub with a side connector for dishwasher and/ or washer. make sure that the Ptrap is at least 5 inches below the connection point in order not to have the sifon effect

My lg front load washer posted this ER: check the drain and the hose. we checked all the drain. but the machine stopped when it was on SPINNING. the ER POSTING : CHECK THE DRAIN is back

Water comes out of the drum through a soft corrugated hose, into the filter, out of the filter through another soft corrugated hose into the pump and out of it through the hose that is put to the drain. Have you checked all of these pipes? Sometimes something small can get past the filter and get stuck in the pump. If it is all clear, then perhaps the pump is faulty.

How to replace the drive pump on Whirlpool top load (diagrams for models...

Hi.

If you are talking about the drive pump, this is located at the bottom of the machine, and accessing it is quite easy.

As a first thing disconnect the power cord, disconnect water lines and drain hose, and move the machine in a place where you can comfortably lean the machine on one side and support it to access the bottom of the appliance, where the pump is located. Also ensure that there is no water inside the machine before proceeding. If there is water inside the tub you will need to disconnect hose from the pump and collect water with a container while performing the procedure below.

Carefully tilt the machine and lay it down on its back. This is probably the most difficult part of the procedure, ensure that the machine is supported properly and start removing the two spring clamps that hold the pump and the two inlet and outlet hoses connected to the pump together.

Remove the two metal clips that hold the pump to the motor housing.

Slide off the pump and remove it.

Do all the operations described above in reverse order to install the new pump.

Before replacing the pump, ensure that the problem is not related to the hoses connected to the pump. Leaks and blockage problems are often caused by one of the hoses, rather than by the pump.

The pump is indicated with the arrow on diagram below, near to parts 30, 31 and 32. the clips are parts 30 and 31. The corrugated drain hose going to the tub is part number 32:

My whirlpool duet front load has been leaking. It leaks only when doing a load of laundry. Leak is coming out the back and on the right side. Took the front bottom off to see if I can see anything and...

First, make sure that the washing machine is not too close to the wall behind it. This could crimp the drain hose & force water out at the connection behind the machine. This could also crack/split the washer machine's port (to which the drain hose attaches). Second, check the hose clamp for a secure hold at the washer machine's port, & check the drain hose for leaks & for insertion in the drain tube at the wall.

Error code e 18

E18 generally indicates a time out on the drainage. Check the pump filter (bottom right of base plinth), also check that the drain hose isn't blocked (particularly if it is connected directly to the u bend of the sink via a spigot). Take off the spigot from the u bend and then disconnect the spigot from the grey corrugated drain hose, check both parts are clear.Best of luck

My Maytag Neptune washing machine makes clothes smell moldy

The problem may be standing water in the discharge hose. If this is the case unplug the machine and remove the hose from the back of the machine, and water will poor out. If you smell mold from the hose, this could be the cause. Rinse the hose out thoroughly with bleach, if its a corrugated hose they are prone to standing water inside and you may want to replace it with a non- corrugated hose. I suggest you run the machine when hose is re- attached with only bleach a couple of times and leave the washer door ajar to completely dry the inside of the drum afterwards, too. I hope this helps you! Good luck!

Whirlpool Washer Won't Drain

Did you replace the timer motor? The little motor attached to the timer that moves it thru the cycles. Also, I would check to see if the water level switch might be stopping it after the wash/rinse cycle. I've attached a URL that will show you the various components. If you need more help, feel free to post.
